Michael Thorn had been gone for three full days. Within those three days, there hadn't been a single peep from him. Didn't he declare that he would never give up on her? Giving up so soon?
Evelyn let out a cold sneer; men really were all talk.
"... There's an international coffee making competition being hosted in Gag Country next week, with top coffee managers participating from all over the world," the project director reported over the phone, following instructions secretly passed down by Michael's chief assistant. "The organizer sent you an official invitation. Would you like to attend?"
An international Coffee competition? In Gag Country?
"Where exactly is the venue?" Evelyn asked casually.
"It's set at the International Cultural Center in the new district."
The new district? Wasn't that right next to Michael's private estate? Was she supposed to go or not?
