For some reason, she could feel the sadness coming from him so she changed the subject.
"What do you do for work?"
Just as Damien was about to answer, a fierce pounding sounded continuously.
"Do you hear that?"
"Hear what… oh I probably hit a road block. It's nothing"
Madeline stared at him for a few seconds "stop the car"
"It's nothing Madeline we're almost at Rose manor.
In that moment, she felt something was wrong. The glasses were tinted so she couldn't see outside. It was unknown if it's because he is Zachary's friend or some other strange reason but she totally let down her guard with Damien.
Come to think of it, he had been acting strangely since she got in. Something she could have noticed if she wasn't too carried away.
She pressed down on his shoulders as though to control him. Hee voice low and deep, yet it gave an intense pressure and a feeling of urgency. "Take your hands off the steering wheel and stop this car".
