Chapter 15 - THE QUIET SHIFT

CHAPTER 15:THE QUIET SHIFT

⟡ 1 Day Later ⟡

Inside a collapsed black hole domain, Aatroxx sat silently within the endless void.

The darkness did not harm him.

It obeyed him.

He stared into distorted space and spoke quietly.

"…Why does it feel different?"

A pause.

When many people praise you…

his eyes narrowed slightly.

"…it feels like everything I did… is finally worth something."

He did not realize it yet—

this was not simple emotion.

It was acceptance.

And acceptance slowly changes existence.

---

⟡ The Golden Mountain ⟡

At the peak of a floating golden mountain, Xxior sat on a radiant throne.

He looked into the sky.

"Brother Kael has already broken through to World Master."

He chuckled softly.

"That's incredibly fast."

Then he leaned back.

"And Brother Absolon… Brother Aatroxx…"

His eyes sparkled.

"They also reached World Master in such a short time."

He shook his head slightly.

"It feels like they don't even rest."

A pause.

"…But that's normal."

"Once someone reaches World Master… their advancement naturally becomes faster."

"World Master is a threshold. Beyond it, cultivation responds differently to existence itself."

He smiled.

"…Maybe I should try harder too."

---

⟡ Absolon's World ⟡

Griffin stood quietly in a field of glowing spiritual grass.

The wind was soft.

But his expression was quieter than before.

"…Brother Absolon isn't here again."

He lowered his head slightly.

"…Since he became World Master… he changed a lot."

A pause.

"…Or maybe I just misunderstand it."

He exhaled slowly.

"…Maybe he's just busy."

"…Or maybe he's planning something like he always does."

He forced a small smile.

But it did not fully return.

---

⟡ Reunion ⟡

Later.

Absolon returned.

Griffin brightened immediately.

"Brother!"

Absolon nodded.

"…Griffin."

They sat together like before.

For a moment—

it almost felt normal.

Griffin smiled.

"I missed you."

Absolon paused.

"…I see."

Silence followed.

Then Griffin stood.

"I'll go get drinks and food."

Absolon nodded gently.

"…Take your time."

Griffin smiled.

"Yes, brother."

He walked away.

---

Absolon watched him leave.

Then quietly spoke.

"…Why do I respond slower now?"

A pause.

"…Why does distance feel normal?"

The wind moved.

But something inside him felt slightly further away than before.

---

The Golden Church opened again.

Countless beings filled the hall.

They knelt.

They worshipped.

They cried in joy.

The First Being's presence filled all existence.

Warm.

Infinite.

Unchanging.

Aatroxx knelt among them.

But something felt different.

As worship began—

tears formed in his eyes.

But they did not fall immediately.

He frowned slightly.

"…Why…"

Around him, others cried freely.

Naturally.

Completely.

Aatroxx touched his face.

The tears were there—

but they felt delayed.

Unstable.

Unnatural.

"…When I praise the Father…"

he whispered internally,

"…it feels like a command now."

His body trembled.

"No…"

"I shouldn't think like this."

He tried to force emotion.

But something inside him did not fully respond.

Not like before.

---

⟡ After the Church ⟡

Aatroxx sat in cultivation space.

He stared forward.

"…When worship begins… others feel everything instantly."

A pause.

"…So why don't I?"

He closed his eyes.

But the feeling did not return properly.

---

⟡ The Shift Spreads ⟡

Days later—

news spread across countless worlds.

"Aatroxx shares cultivation insight!"

"Once you reach World Master, your advancement becomes naturally faster."

Beings gathered around him.

"Brother Aatroxx! I broke through to Foundation Perfection!"

Aatroxx nodded.

"Good. Congratulations."

Another spoke excitedly.

"I advanced two levels!"

"Me too!"

Aatroxx smiled slightly.

"I am proud of you all."

From afar, Xxior watched with admiration.

"…They are all rising so quickly…"

---

⟡ Aatroxx Alone ⟡

That night.

Aatroxx lay in silence.

The void outside remained still.

But his mind was not.

"…They all advance so quickly…"

A faint smile.

"I am happy for them…"

Then—

a pause.

His eyes slowly widened.

"…What happens if I keep helping them?"

His hand tightened.

"…What happens when I reach the Father's level?"

Silence.

A sharper thought appeared.

"…Will they still treat me the same?"

He froze.

"…What am I thinking…"

His body trembled.

Then he sat up.

"…I will cultivate faster."

"I must help the Father."

A pause.

Then softly—

"…What happens after I help the Father?"

The question lingered.

Unanswered.

---

⟡ The First Being Appears ⟡

Light filled the chamber.

The First Being arrived.

Everything stopped.

Aatroxx immediately knelt.

"Father… I broke through again."

Silence.

Then a gentle voice.

"Congratulations, my son."

"It is okay, My child."

The First Being stepped forward.

He wiped Aatroxx's tears.

Warm.

Infinite.

Comforting.

Then He embraced him.

"You do not need to fear your thoughts."

"I understand."

Aatroxx trembled.

"…Father…"

But inside—

the feeling remained unsettled.

Not healed.

Only softened.

---

⟡ Yhach Watches ⟡

Far above existence—

Yhach stood silently.

"…The Father forgives."

"…Yet their minds are no longer aligned."

He looked down at the endless worlds.

"…Forgiveness has reached them."

"…But understanding has not."

---

⟡ A Moment After Yhach's Silence ⟡

The space above existence remained still.

Yhach did not move.

"…It is spreading."

His voice was low.

Not alarmed.

Not surprised.

But observing something that should not evolve this way.

---

⟡ The Golden Church — Later Cycle ⟡

Once again, the Golden Church opened.

Beings gathered as before.

Countless kneeling figures filled the infinite hall.

Worship began.

Light expanded across existence.

Everything was… normal.

Too normal.

---

⟡ Aatroxx ⟡

Aatroxx knelt among them.

The same warmth should have arrived.

The same tears should have fallen.

But—

something was slightly off again.

He closed his eyes.

Waiting.

A second passed.

Then another.

His emotions arrived… late.

Not absent.

Not broken.

Just delayed.

"…Again…"

he thought silently.

This time, his expression tightened slightly.

Not fear.

Not confusion.

But awareness.

---

⟡ Absolon — Far Realm ⟡

At the same moment, on another world,

Absolon stood beside Griffin again.

Griffin was speaking.

Smiling.

As usual.

But Absolon's gaze drifted slightly.

"…He is close."

"…Why does he feel further than before?"

Griffin laughed softly.

But the sound felt like it came from behind a thin wall.

Absolon blinked once.

Then returned his focus.

"…Nothing changed."

He said to himself.

But the feeling did not agree.

---

⟡ The Second Gathering Continues ⟡

Inside the Golden Church,

worship intensified.

Beings cried in unity.

Their devotion remained pure.

Yet—

for the first time,

Aatroxx noticed something strange.

Not in others.

But in himself.

He looked at his hands.

"…I am here."

A pause.

"…But it feels like I am also watching myself."

His eyes narrowed slightly.

That thought should not have appeared.

Yet it did not disappear either.

---

⟡ A Subtle Change ⟡

Inside the gathering,

Aatroxx slowly stood after worship ended.

No one reacted.

No one noticed.

But as he stepped forward—

he stopped.

Just for a moment.

Then whispered to himself.

"…Why did it feel like I was slightly behind myself?"

He shook his head.

"…No."

"I am overthinking again."

But deep inside—

he knew it was not just thought anymore.

It was pattern.

---

Across existence,

nothing appeared broken.

Nothing appeared changed.

Worship continued.

Cultivation continued.

Praises continued.

But beneath it all—

a silent divergence had begun.

Not in power.

Not in realms.

But in experience itself.
