Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: The Rebirth Algorithm

The moment the elixir settled in my stomach, it felt as though I had swallowed raw lightning.

It wasn't a standard flow of energy. It was a torrential, devastating surge that violently shredded through my carbonized mana pathways, ruthlessly tearing them apart only to rebuild them from absolute zero.

"Argh...!" A choked, silent gasp escaped my lips as my knees slammed into the cold stone floor of the dark cavern.

I immediately forced myself into a deep meditative state, funneling my entire consciousness directly toward my heart. There, at the epicenter of my magical core, I witnessed the true, horrifying extent of the original Adrian's catastrophe. The vessels surrounding my heart resembled scorched, frayed wires, heavily clogged with the toxic, hardened sludge left behind by the Black Market elixir.

[WARNING: Mana pressure exceeds structural capacity by 400%!]

[Vessel Status: Imminent critical failure. Calculated probability of survival: 15%.]

"I do not believe in probability... I am the one who writes the code," I snarled through tightly clenched teeth.

I initiated the 'Structural Repair' protocol. Relying on pure, unadulterated cognitive willpower, I forced the celestial energy forward, systematically dissolving the blockages in my magical veins one by one. The agony was pure, distilled hell; it felt like thousands of blazing, magnetized needles violently piercing the walls of my heart.

At one terrifying microsecond, the strain peaked. My pulse flatlined entirely, and the world plunged into absolute, suffocating darkness.

"Not today."

I shoved every last ounce of my mental processing power straight into my dormant heart, violently commanding the organ to submit to my geometric system.

Suddenly, the dam broke.

The celestial energy flooded through my system like a freezing, purifying river, cleansing everything in its path. Through my mind's eye, I watched as my pathways rapidly healed, expanded, and crystallized into a flawless, luminous azure blue. At the dead center of my heart, the single, pathetic, flickering circle dissolved, instantly replaced by two perfectly overlapping, hyper-stable rings of highly condensed mana.

[Ping! Pathway purification reached 100%.]

[Congratulations! Magical Rank upgraded: 2nd Circle.]

I opened my eyes. A piercing, brilliant blue light radiated from my irises, slicing sharply through the cavern's gloom.

I stood up with an unprecedented, almost terrifying weightlessness. The crushing fatigue was gone. The incessant mental static was silenced. My fragile, garbage vessel had finally been completely reformatted into a flawless algorithm.

I stepped out of the cave, only to be greeted by three Mutated Rock Trolls (Tier-3). They had converged on the entrance, lured by the dense, aromatic scent of the pure mana radiating from my purification process. Barely an hour ago, a single one of these beasts represented a deadly, high-risk variable.

But now?

"Activate [Status Statistics Analysis]."

Target: Mutated Rock Troll (x3)

Rank: Tier-3

Mana Capacity: 120 / 120

I didn't wait for them to initiate the engagement. In the blink of an eye, I launched myself forward at a sheer velocity my previous physical parameters couldn't have even registered. Fueled by a pristine 2nd Circle, my kinetic output and spatial awareness were devastatingly sharp.

K-R-R-ASH!

I lightly tapped the center mass of the first Troll in a passing blur. Fueled by my upgraded core, the resonance effect was instantaneous. Its massive stone body violently detonated from the inside out, crumbling into fine dust before it could even raise a heavy arm to defend itself.

The remaining two Trolls roared in fury, charging at me simultaneously in a crude pincer maneuver.

I didn't move. I simply raised a single finger and traced a rapid mathematical rune in the empty air. "Structural Nullification: Radial Propagation."

A shockwave of pure azure mana erupted outward from my core. It wasn't a physical strike; it telemetrically shattered the magical binding links within their rocky bodies from a distance. Both towering beasts collapsed into lifeless heaps of rubble in less than five seconds.

This wasn't merely physical power. It was terrifying, absolute computational precision.

I looked down at my hands. The mana revolved around my heart with smooth, freezing efficiency. My body was no longer a liability dragging me down; it was finally the precision instrument I required to dissect this world.

"That is sufficient data collection for one day."

I casually brushed the lingering rock dust from my torn, black trench coat and began a calm, unhurried walk out of the dark forest. I wasn't looking for another fight. I merely needed to let my cognitive processors cool down and fully integrate this new equilibrium in a secure environment.

I returned to the Annex Manor, seamlessly slipping through the rear entrance to bypass any unnecessary social interactions with the servants. Entering my modest room, I collapsed onto the simple bed.

As I closed my eyes, feeling the flawless, rhythmic hum of 2nd-Circle mana vibrating within my chest, I knew one undeniable truth: The era of this vessel's "weakness" had officially been permanently deleted.
