These two vicious pirates were now being hung up by the navy soldiers like clothes that had been washed.
Vice Admiral Tsuru stepped forward, looked intently at Damon, and said in a deep voice:
"Damon, only you can protect the transport ship as quickly as possible and prevent the Donquixote Family from stealing the Celestial Gold!"
None of the five rear admirals behind Vice Admiral Tsuru, including Momousagi Gion, voiced any objection to her arrangement.
Firstly, through their interactions over the past few days, they had come to understand Damon's strength and believed that he could single-handedly stop the Donquixote Family's pirate ship.
Secondly, the Navy was not just a place for fighting and killing; it was also an organization that valued interpersonal relationships. Everyone in the Navy knew about the relationship between Vice Admiral Tsuru and Garp. It was clear that this was to pave the way for Damon's promotion. As long as he could complete this mission, Damon would be able to accumulate amazing military merits.
Thirdly, there were still scattered pirates causing trouble within the Sobel Kingdom, and a large number of disaster-stricken people needed help and comfort. It was necessary for Vice Admiral Tsuru to lead a large number of naval forces to be stationed here to prevent other pirates from taking advantage of the chaos to attack.
On the vast ocean, even with a map showing the routes of transport ships, finding them was no easy task.
This task was like a hot potato for many naval officers and soldiers.
If it was completed, it would be an earth-shattering achievement.
If you didn't finish, you'd get a severe scolding from your superiors.
It could be said that the greater the risk, the greater the potential reward.
After asking Vice Admiral Tsuru for a list of personal items for the transport ship's crew, Damon hurried off in the direction the ship had gone.
"Shave!"
"Moon Walk!"
The small figure moved with the agility of a swallow, leaving the Sobel Kingdom at a speed of 100 meters per second, step by step ascending into the sky.
The silhouettes of the city behind him gradually blurred, while a damp, chilly sea breeze greeted him.
Seeing that there was no one around, two dog shadows, one black and one white, suddenly jumped out from the shadows reflected on the sea.
Ten Shadow Spells! Summon Jade Hound!
The Jade Dog was not much different in size from a regular wolfhound. Its entire body was composed of shadows, so even when it stood on the sea surface, it remained steady and dignified and would not sink into the sea.
Damon handed over the personal belongings of the transport ship crew members. The two jade dogs lowered their heads to sniff, their noses twitching for a moment as they tried to memorize the scent of the items. Then they raised their heads, let out a "woof," and turned to run towards the five o'clock direction.
With the two jade dogs running at full speed, their speed was no less than Damon's Shave technique.
Blue sky and white clouds, seagulls soaring.
On this seemingly calm and tranquil sea, no one could predict when disaster would strike.
While the four warships were sailing off to the Sobel Kingdom for reinforcements, a pirate ship resembling the Flamingo took the opportunity to attack from the nearby waters.
The remaining warship continued to protect the transport ship, and as the pirate ship approached, the navy on the warship was not to be outdone.
A naval captain raised his arm and roared:
"Open fire!"
The helmsman controlled the steering wheel, adjusting the warship's position so that it was parallel to the pirate ship on the water. Dark and menacing cannons protruded from the gun ports on one side of the ship. There were a total of thirty cannons on one side of the ship, and under the control of the naval soldiers, dark solid cannonballs were fired!
"Boom boom boom! Boom boom boom! Boom boom boom..."
Thirty cannons roared in unison, billowing smoke from their muzzles, as dark, solid shells traced graceful arcs and landed precisely on the pirate ship.
Every naval soldier underwent rigorous training, especially those in the artillery, who had particularly strict requirements. Each soldier needed a deep understanding and mastery of wind direction, trajectory, angle, and other knowledge in order to accurately grasp the essence of firing and thus improve the hit rate of shells.
The soldiers' professionalism was commendable; not a single shell missed its mark.
If it were an ordinary pirate ship, it would probably lose its ability to move and retaliate after just one series of attacks.
But it was clear that this group of pirates who dared to plunder the Celestial Gold were no ordinary people.
Although Doflamingo the Heavenly Demon needed to stay in the New World and had now arrived in the waters near the Dressrosa Kingdom, making it impossible for him to leave, simply dispatching the Donquixote Family's Diamond Army was enough to handle the current situation.
As the shells drew ever closer, a large, stout figure wearing a pink baby hat burst forth, its two thick, long arms swinging in mid-air, creating ripples in the air. The figure seemed to be swimming freely, moving through the air.
The man appeared slow but was actually fast. His feet, clad in shiny black leather shoes, kicked out afterimages, deflecting every single cannonball fired by the navy.
As the man landed back on the deck, the roar of cannonballs hitting the warship echoed behind him one after another. The raging waves from the explosions whipped up the man's flabby belly, creating a series of ripples. The yellow diaper with star patterns stood out so brightly against the crimson flames that it almost blinded anyone with its 24-karat titanium eyes.
The man had a pacifier in his mouth, just like when he was young and rebellious and smoked. He looked up at the sky at a 45-degree angle, his bangs fluttering in the wind. His face, covered by sunglasses, was calm and composed, a pose that suggested a real man wouldn't look back at an explosion.
Unfortunately, if he had worn a different outfit, he might have looked really cool.
Now, it just made people feel nauseous.
The man's unique makeup and attire immediately attracted the attention of the officers and soldiers on the naval warship, who recognized him instantly.
"He is Senor Pink, a member of the Donquixote Family, known as the Pink Gentleman. He is a user of the Swim-Swim Fruit and has a bounty of 58 million Berries!"
The moment they recognized Senor Pink, the warship's officers and soldiers didn't have time to extinguish the fire on their ship; their eyes quickly scanned the crew of the pirate ship opposite them.
A man was doing a massage on the deck. He had long, curly blond hair, wore a black-brimmed red hat and sunglasses, had a waist as thick as a barrel, and arms as thick as a giant's thighs. He wore a tight-fitting ribbed bodysuit, revealing his bulging muscles beneath his bare chest. His right arm had the distinctive tattoo of the Donquixote Family Pirates.
"Machvise, user of the Ton-Ton Fruit, bounty 11 million Berries!"
A little boy wearing a baseball cap and with fighting fish horns was not recognized by the naval officers.
Standing next to the little boy was a burly, tall, bald old man wearing a pointed hat, who made a "g" gesture towards the group of naval officers and soldiers.
"Lao G, a master of physical combat, with a bounty of 61 million Berries!"
Before the naval officers could even scan the last officer, under Lao G's command, his pirate ship also opened fire fiercely on the warship.
Faced with the relentless bombardment of the ruthless Donquixote Family pirate ships, the remaining warships were helpless, smoke billowing from their decks and riddled with numerous wounds.
Diamante stood at the bow of the ship, holding a horned Den Den Mushi in his palm.
Den Den Mushi had thrived around the world for many years, and in order to adapt to different environments, various unique species had emerged.
Among them, the horned Den Den Mushi had the ability to disrupt radio waves and could be used to shield communication signals. Its effective range was within ten kilometers, cutting off communication between other Den Den Mushi.
It was precisely because of this function of the horned Den Den Mushi that the previous five warships had lost contact with the Sobel Kingdom and were unable to learn the important intelligence that Vice Admiral Tsuru's navy had quelled the pirate turmoil.
Now, the remaining warship was on the verge of sinking, and the transport ship that the navy had been protecting was right in front of it, like an unsuspecting lamb presented to a pack of hungry wolves.
Diamante raised his longsword, its blade pointing directly at the transport ship not far away, and shouted:
"Hit them!"
The pirate ship sped off like a sharp sword, viciously piercing the transport ship's hull from the side.
A large number of pirates revealed ferocious smiles and immediately jumped onto the deck of the transport ship, engaging in a fierce hand-to-hand battle with the ship's guards.
This group of pirates was not some low-level pirate crew like the Iron Hand Pirates or the Steel Cannon Pirates. Each and every one of them was a skilled fighter who had followed the Donquixote Family in their battles across the land. They were ruthless in battle, fearless of death, and every strike was deadly.
The battle on the deck ended in less than half an hour.
The deck was littered with corpses, blood flowed like a river, and the air was filled with a nauseating stench of blood.
One by one, the pirates plunged their swords into the hearts of the corpses to prevent any from escaping and lying on the ground feigning death, thus leaking information about the place.
Just as they were searching and looting the treasure chests containing Celestial Gold, they suddenly noticed a figure appearing at the top of the transport ship's mast.
"Who goes there?"
Upon hearing this exclamation, the pirates all looked up.
A boy stood with his feet together, heels raised, toes touching the mast. He was backlit by the midday sun, his face hidden in the shadows, making it impossible to see clearly. The golden light shone on the boy, as if draping him in a golden cloak.
Faced with the pirates' questioning, Damon's lips curled up slightly.
"Sorry, I can't let you steal these celestial treasures."
Damon raised one index finger, combining the principles of the Fire Cloud Technique and the Finger Gun, one of the Six Powers of the Navy. A touch of fire emanated from the fingertip, which then transformed into fire bullets that shot out.
"Rat-a-tat-tat! Rat-a-tat-tat! Rat-a-tat-tat!"
In that instant, Damon's fingers transformed into a machine gun, and a continuous barrage of fire bullets rained down from the sky, catching the pirates completely off guard.
In an instant, the pirates suffered heavy casualties, and the screams and wails that rose and fell attracted the attention of the Donquixote Family officers on the pirate ship.
Diamante stared at the figure on the mast, his expression somewhat serious.
"A Logia-type Devil Fruit user?"
Diamante's guess was wrong; Damon's performance was simply too deceptive.
After clearing the pirates off the transport ship, Damon leaped into the air and landed steadily on the deck of the pirate ship.
Turning back to Diamante with a smile, Damon said with a chilling tone:
"The Donquixote Family has some nerve! They dare to plunder the Celestial Gold right under our navy's nose!"
"If you don't stop, I'll cripple you today!"
The boy's resounding voice echoed above the pirate ship, reaching the ears of Diamante and the Donquixote Family's executives, causing them to exchange bewildered glances.
After a long while, Diamante's facial muscles, marked by two deep wrinkles, twitched, and he burst into hearty laughter, clutching his stomach with both hands.
In fact, due to his intense laughter, Diamante's fur-trimmed hat almost fell off his head, and his red cloak was upside down. He was already dressed like a native tribe, and now, with his wild laughter and gestures, it was easy for outsiders to suspect that he was a shaman from a minority tribe, performing a ritual.
"Hahaha!"
"We are professionally trained; no matter how funny something is, we won't laugh unless we can't help it!"
Diamante's laughter inspired the other executives, and everyone burst into wild laughter.
Damon seemed oblivious to the mocking laughter of the Donquixote Family officials, his expression remaining as calm as ever, as he slowly drew his sword.
With a clang, a pair of demonic crimson eyes were reflected on the blade of the Zanpakuto. As the three tomoe slowly rotated, a deep blue light shone deep within the pupils.
Diamante, as one of the four executives of the Donquixote Family, led the Fighter Legion and had followed Doflamingo in battles for many years. He was certainly no ordinary person.
Seeing that mere mockery could not shake the boy's resolve, and that a terrifying aura was gradually forming around him, Diamante's smile faded slightly. He glanced at Machvise, who was wearing a ribbed bodysuit, and gestured for him to make the first move and test the enemy's strength.
Machvise had served under Diamante for many years, and with just a glance, he understood Diamante's intentions.
Machvise was a Paramecia-type Ton-Ton Fruit user, which allowed him to float in the air with his enormous body and to restore or increase his weight at will, thus inflicting devastating blows on his enemies by altering his weight.
The only downside to this Devil Fruit ability was that Machvise also suffered some damage himself every time he attacked an enemy in this way.
