Chapter 22 - Unnamed

Chapter 22 The troublesome dragon cub

At lunchtime, students gathered in the Great Hall, sitting together in groups.

Aaron ate his bread while peeling an orange for Abey.

"You're really exceptionally good to your cat!" Dracolaughed.

"Don't underestimate it. This guy's family status in our home ranks at least in the top four.

And in the pet world, its bloodline is also among the best," Aaron said very seriously.

Boom!

A sudden explosion startled everyone.

But when they curiously looked over, they couldn't help but laugh.

A first-year student was seen with a soot-blackened face, holding his wand motionless in his right hand, as if frozen in place.

In front of him was a cup knocked over on the table and a spell book. It wasn't hard to guess that something went wrong when he was experimenting with a spell.

Just then, the mail arrived, and hundreds of owls flew into the Great Hall, choosing their owners and delivering letters or packages to them.

Draco's package contained various brands of candy. He unwrapped two and placed them on Abey's food plate.

Abey sniffed them, then his eyes narrowed into crescents, giving Draco a friendly smile.

"Thanks."

"No problem, it's my first time seeing such a cute cat," Dracosaid. "Oh, by the way, Aaron, what's in your package?"

Aaron looked down at his package upon hearing this.

He was sure this package wasn't from his parents; the only one who would send him a package was Gines.

Thinking of this, Aaron was filled with gratitude.

What is family? This is it!

However, after opening it, his face darkened. The package contained two items: a newspaper and a chicken leg.

It was obvious the newspaper was for him, and the chicken leg was naturally for the young dragon who was still growing.

The most hateful thing was a note under the chicken leg, clearly stating that Abey would receive healthy nutritious meals every few days from now on, and he should be careful not to overfeed him.

Upon seeing it, Draco couldn't help but let out a sneer, "I believe it now, this cat really isn't just ordinarily precious."

Aaron:...The afternoon was a Flying Class, equivalent to a Physical Education Class in the Muggle world, and it was the most anticipated Class for almost all students.

However, Aaron wasn't particularly looking forward to this Class, because for him, there was no difference whether he learned or not.

He received a lot of magic points from signing in at Hogwarts. At this rate, he would be able to get a magic carpet in at most ten days. With such a high-end flying tool, who would still ride a broom!

Besides, once Abey grew a bit bigger, his flying speed would be enough to surpass any magic tool. Wouldn't riding a dragon be more awesome?

Abey, who was lying on the lawn sunbathing, suddenly shivered.

Professor Hooch, with short gray hair, walked over, "Good afternoon, students."

"Good afternoon, Madam Hooch."

Professor Hooch walked up to all the students, "Now we'll begin our first Flying Class. What are you waiting for?

Everyone stand to the left of your broomsticks. Alright, hurry up."

The students immediately complied, standing by their brooms.

Professor Hooch extended her right hand and explained, "Place your right hand above the broom, and then say: Up!"

"Up!" × n.

Harry's broom immediately flew into his hand, which could be considered a natural talent.

Aaron was the same; although he didn't particularly like magic brooms, he couldn't deny his excellent talent!

As for the others, they had to keep trying. The sound of 'Up' rose and fell. Some succeeded quickly, like Draco, while others tried more than ten times, like Hermione.

There were also a few students whose brooms only wiggled slightly no matter how much they called. Ron was even worse off, getting hit in the face directly by a flying broom.

After more than ten minutes, all the students found the trick to summoning their brooms and held them steadily in their hands.

Professor Hooch walked to the middle of the students, "Now, grab your brooms and mount them.

Hold on tight, don't slip off. When I blow the whistle, each of you will push off the ground and take to the air. You must steady your brooms, circle for a bit, then lean slightly forward and return to the ground.

Listen for my whistle, three, two..."

The whistle blew. While the other students hadn't moved yet, Neville's broom flew up on its own, and it seemed to be somewhat out of control, swaying left and right while constantly bobbing up and down.

A moment later, Neville Longbottom, amidst everyone's surprised or worried gazes, rode his broom in an exaggerated manner towards the sky, but everyone clearly heard the words 'Help me'.

Neville twisted and turned in the sky in various poses, becoming dizzy, but his hands clung tightly to the broom handle without letting go, as if he were taming a wild horse.

However, his skill was clearly not very good. The broom carried him crashing into the Castle walls everywhere, then swooped down, creating ripples on the lawn.

Professor Hooch drew her wand, wanting to make Nevillestop, but he was flying too fast. She didn't have time to cast a spell before Neville flew past her.

"How pitiful!" Aaron sighed.

"Aaron!" Draco looked at Neville flying back and forth in the sky and couldn't help but tug on Aaron's sleeve.

"What is it?"

"Maybe I saw wrong, but that white, fluffy thing hanging from the front of Neville's broom looks like your pet."

"What? No way!"

"It is Abey," Hermione confirmed.

Aaron focused his gaze and saw a white cat gripping the top of the broom. Its four paws clung tightly to the broom, not letting go. On its adorable little face, there wasn't a trace of fear; instead, it looked very excited, forming a stark contrast with Neville.

A person being inferior to a cat, this was simply too outrageous.

"Oh my goodness!" Aaron couldn't help but curse, immediately mounting his broom and chasing after them.

He wasn't worried about Abey having problems with flying; its innate ability was flight. But he was afraid this little dragon might get too carried away. What if its wings popped out?

It had only been a few days since school started! To be known to have a dragon, he wasn't mentally prepared for that yet!

Aaron's speed was very fast. Compared to Neville Longbottom, who was flying wildly, his goal was quite clear.

After slightly anticipating the broom's likely direction in the next second, he shot up. The moment he touched Neville's broom, he extended his right hand and pulled Abey, who was riding on it, down.

Then he suddenly ducked, dodging Neville's rapidly spinning collision.

"Phew! That was close!" Aaron breathed a sigh of relief, then looked at Abey, who was embarrassed and covering his eyes with his front paws. He said irritably, "You troublesome fellow, I'll settle accounts with you later."

By the time Aaron returned to the ground, Neville's broom seemed to have had enough fun too. It quickly flew past a statue above the Castle. The spear in the statue's hand hooked Neville's Wizard robe, hanging him there, at least twenty meters off the ground.

However, a moment later, the Wizard robe couldn't bear Neville's weight and tore apart. With a ripping sound, Neville fell straight down.

Fortunately, when he was still twenty feet from the ground, his robe, which was torn in half, caught on a lamppost.

But the outcome was still inevitable. The remaining half of the Wizard robe also couldn't bear Neville's weight. After another tearing sound, Neville continued to fall.

"Wingardium Leviosa!"

When Neville was still a few centimeters from the ground, Aaron drew his wand, silently recited the spell, and cast a Levitation Charm on Neville.

Bang!

A few seconds later, Neville fell to the ground, but because he had been cushioned twice, he wasn't seriously injured.

All the students turned their heads to look. They instinctively thought Professor Hooch had cast the magic.

Professor Hooch looked at Aaron, but was surprised to find that his wand had been put away at some point, and he was looking at her with the same surprised expression as the other students.

Professor Hooch was also a bit confused for a moment, suddenly feeling like she was failing as a Professor, having to rely on a first-year to save face and prevent a teaching accident.

"Uh... Professor, I suggest you go check on Neville now. He might have a minor injury," Aaron reminded her.

"Ah! Right." Professor Hooch reacted and hurried over to Neville to examine him. Fortunately, they were just scratches that would heal in two days at most.

She turned to all the students, "Now everyone stay put on the ground. I'm taking Mr. Longbottom to the hospital.

Understood? If I see a broom in the sky, whoever is riding it will be expelled before they can even say Quidditch."

Neville groaned and walked towards the hospital, supported by Professor Hooch. As he passed Aaron, he paused and whispered, "Thank you."

Others hadn't seen Aaron cast the spell just now, but he was directly opposite everyone and saw it very clearly.
