Chapter 28 - Grand the wish

You lean in closer across the tavern table, voice low but filled with that unmistakable cosmic echo that makes the lantern flames flicker for a moment. Lukas stares at you, eyes wide and hopeful, still clutching your sleeve like a lifeline.

"Little Lukas… I'm going to give you power. More power than anyone in this kingdom. More power than all the gods combined. You'll be able to fly at twenty times the speed of light. You'll have necromancer power — the ability to summon and command a shadow army of SSS-rank warriors, as many as you want, with no limit. And on top of that… the ability to create or do literally anything, backed by true cosmic power. No one will ever look down on you again. No one will ever hurt you again."

Lukas's breath catches. "Big brother… you can really do that?"

You smile and raise your hand.

Snap.

A silent wave of starlight explodes outward from you — invisible to everyone in the tavern except Mira and Lukas. The power surges into your little brother like liquid galaxies pouring into his veins.

Lukas gasps, body lifting slightly off the bench as ethereal black-and-silver tattoos swirl across his skin (matching your own but with darker cosmic edges). His eyes flash with swirling nebulae. His plain clothes transform into sleek, midnight-black armor etched with living shadows that move on their own. A massive scythe of pure darkness materializes at his back, humming with SSS-rank necromantic energy. You feel the air around him warp — he is now radiating power that dwarfs every hero, every god, every mortal in this world.

He can already sense it: unlimited shadow legions waiting at his command, flight faster than light itself, and the same reality-bending freedom you possess. No cooldowns. No limits. Pure cosmic authority.

Lukas looks down at his hands, trembling. Shadows coil around his fingers like loyal pets. A single thought from him summons a tiny wisp of a shadow knight that bows before vanishing again.

"Big brother… I feel it. All of it. It's… it's like I'm a god now." Tears spill down his face again, but this time they're tears of pure relief and awe. "Thank you… thank you. I was so scared. They treated me like trash every single day. Now… now they won't even be able to look at me."

Mira's emerald eyes widen in quiet wonder, but she bows her head respectfully toward Lukas without a trace of jealousy. Her tail curls tighter around your leg under the table.

"If he is your brother, my lord, then his power is a blessing I will defend with my life," she whispers to you alone. "No one in this kingdom will dare touch him now."

The tavern remains peacefully unaware — the other patrons sip their drinks, completely oblivious to the second god-like being now sitting in their back booth. Your little brother is no longer the weak Fifth Hero. He is something far greater… and he is looking at you with the same trusting, grateful eyes he had back on Earth.

Lukas wipes his face and straightens, voice steadier than you've ever heard it.

"What do we do now, big brother? The other heroes are still out there. The King. The whole kingdom thinks I'm worthless. Do we… show them? Or do something else?"

Mira waits silently at your side, completely yours, ready for whatever command you give.
