"Oh, so you agreed?" Leticia sat in her chair, propping her chin on her hand as she listened to Melanie recount the day's events.
"Yes, Luna persuaded me to agree to the Elf's request." Melanie looked at Luna, who gave a slight smile, as if to say it had nothing to do with her.
The Miss Demon King picked up the water glass on the table and took a sip. "Alright then, I don't think Eriko is the Half-Elf the Elf is looking for anyway."
"Are you serious?" Melanie glared at Leticia.
The Elves might not know, but how could she, a human Sword Saint, not know? Eriko was the only Half-Elf who had suddenly appeared in Central City these past few days!
The Elf Race must be looking for her. If not for her, could they be looking for other Half-Elves?
If they were looking for other Half-Elves, Melanie could only express her helplessness. She only knew of this one Half-Elf; she hadn't received any news about others.
"Don't you think Eriko agreed too easily?" Leticia glared back unceremoniously. Didn't this person know her intelligence wasn't up to par? How dare she glare at her? "If she really was the Half-Elf being hunted by the Elf Race, do you think she would agree so easily to meet that Elf?"
In Melanie's description, Eriko merely hesitated for a moment, her expression slightly worsened, and then she agreed to meet the Elf.
She must have been confident that she wasn't the Half-Elf the Elves were hunting to agree. Otherwise, with that girl's personality, she would probably be trembling in her bed out of fear.
"But..."
"No buts. I guarantee that Eriko is not the Half-Elf the Elf Race is hunting. If I'm wrong, I'll warm your bed for a week, alright?" Leticia forcefully ended the topic.
What does the Elf Race looking for Evangeline have to do with my Eriko?
Leticia truly didn't believe Evangeline would run out without any disguise. Eriko's current appearance must be unknown to the Elf Race.
Therefore, the Elf Race is definitely not looking for 'Eriko'.
"I hope you won't go back on your word then." Melanie's eyes lit up. She felt this was Leticia actively throwing herself into her arms.
The Half-Elf the Elf Race was looking for must be Eriko; otherwise, why would they come to Central City?
Also, the mysterious person who attacked two days ago, although it couldn't be confirmed whether that person was an Elf, the poison he released undoubtedly proved his connection with the Elf Race.
With these pieces of evidence, Melanie was convinced that Eriko was the Half-Elf at the center of the storm.
Melanie felt she had definitely won Leticia's bet.
"No, I feel like I'm at a disadvantage." Leticia thought back and realized there was no benefit if she won.
If she lost, she'd warm Melanie's bed, but if she won, Melanie wouldn't have any punishment. Wasn't this a huge loss?
"If I lose, I'll warm your bed for ten days." Melanie immediately stated that she could also warm the bed.
But Miss Leticia, regarding Malanie Ling's shameless words, told her to scram. "Heh, do you think I'm stupid?"
"Not stupid." Malanie shook her head.
Aside from her usual tsundere behavior, Leticia was quite good in other aspects, and her mind could be considered sharp; she certainly wasn't stupid.
"Then do you think, if I sleep with you, do I profit or do you profit?"
"We both profit." Melanie answered confidently.
Her response was a 'forceful' chop to the head from Leticia. "I think you should go to the hospital and get your brain checked for atrophy when you're free. Do I profit? Huh? I'm at a huge loss, alright!"
Leticia's hand chop didn't cause Melanie any pain. Perhaps in Leticia's eyes, she had used all her strength, but the thick-skinned Melanie truly felt nothing.
She just felt a little itchy where she was hit, and that was all.
Her 'paper defense' was relative to her strength level; it would be very difficult, or rather, impossible for ordinary people to break her defense.
"Then what do you want?" Melanie asked.
"Three days' time, you have to listen to me, no contradicting, no refusing my requests." Leticia snorted.
Just like last time, but that time it was three requests, this time, it was three days.
On one side, warming the bed for ten days, on the other, obedience for three days. It seemed the stakes were similar for both sides.
"Okay, I agree." Melanie nodded.
"I can only say, you're going to lose." Leticia chuckled. She was one hundred percent certain that Eriko was not the Half-Elf those Elves were looking for.
Before, she would wonder if her guess was wrong, for example, if Eriko wasn't actually Evangeline, but a very powerful Half-Elf thief being hunted by the Elf Race for stealing a divine artifact.
