Molly appeared just as Sean finished speaking, frowning down at us both. "You two already ate?"
"Yeah, and sorry sis, but I have to take Nova to speak to Beta Evans." Sean smiled and pushed himself up from the table.
"Oh, okay." She turned to look at me carefully. "Is this about the not eating and sleeping thing?"
I stared at her. "W-wha—"
"I am your friend, Sherbet. I can tell when you are being weird. Now go, before whatever is living in your hair decides to attack me." She grinned.
I grumbled at her but took the hint and got up, bringing my drink with me. Sean led the way and I was glad to fall into the shadow of his presence again. People simply moved aside when Sean was coming. Nobody bumped into you or sneered when you were walking beside him.
