Jay's POV.
I woke up early this time.
Oh! Well, I'm surprised—I woke up early for the first time. Then I remembered… King was coming to pick me up.
I went to shower. After coming out, I quickly wore my uniform and stood in front of the mirror.
For the first time, I actually tried getting ready properly—wearing my socks right and fixing my uniform neatly.
As I picked up my bag and stepped out of my room, I saw Aries standing in front of me.
"Wow, a miracle. Is there something special today, Jay? Or did the sun rise from another direction just to see my lazy sister getting ready this early—and properly?"
"That's none of your business, my dear horoscope brother."
"Hey, I'm not a horoscope!"
"Then I'm not lazy."
"You are."
"No, I'm not."
"STOP IT!"
We both turned back toward Kuya Angelo. He was leaning against the wall, glaring sharply at us.
"Why are you arguing this early in the morning?"
"Kuya, it was him. He blocked my way."
"I was just asking her because she woke up early today."
"Whatever. Jay, Aries will drop you. You'll be late."
Wait, no… the king of snakes is coming to pick me up. I can't go with Aries.
"Umm… Kuya, it's okay. I'm going with Ci— I mean, I want to talk to him."
"Okay, but be safe."
I nodded and left.
As soon as I reached the gate, there he was—standing beside his yellow Porsche.
Well… I can't deny it. He's rich and handsome. I feel lucky to be called his.
I walked toward him. He smiled and opened the car door for me. Then he came back to his seat and gently helped me with my seatbelt.
I was so happy… almost desperate for this moment.
He took my hand and gently kissed my knuckles.
"Jay, I missed you."
"Me too, Keifer."
He started driving. The ride was silent. I looked out the window, then turned toward him.
"How are we going to tell Section E about us?"
"Jay, let's not rush. If you don't want to, we can tell them when you're comfortable."
I nodded.
We reached school, and he parked the car. He stepped out and opened the door for me. I got down.
As we started walking, I heard whispers around us.
"Oh, he is damn handsome."
"Wow, he's so cute."
"Who is she? She's not even pretty."
"Why is she with him?"
My blood boiled hearing their gossip. I immediately clung to Keifer's arm.
He smirked and leaned closer, whispering—
"Jealous?"
"No. Why would I be?"
"Okay, fine. But trust me… you are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen, my dear wife."
Wait… what?
Wife…
My wife.
My cheeks burned, and I couldn't stop smiling.
I held his hand and said confidently,
"Keifer… I think I'm ready to tell them about us."
"Whatever my wife says."
I smiled at him and held his hand as we walked forward.
As soon as we reached the building, he held my hand tightly. I looked at him and smiled.
"Ready?" he asked.
I nodded.
We entered the room.
