The heat of the water around me was divine and I had found my eyes growing heavy. I do not know how long I had dozed within the bath, but a knock upon the door, startled me. The water was suddenly cool around me told I had lain there so much longer than I had ever intended. I jumped once more as there was another gentle tap at the door, and the door gently began to open.
"Wren?" Kael's voice had me frozen upon the spot. He should not be in here...
"Kael!" I snapped, with a shiver as my body seemed to become all the more aware of the cool of the water, or was it the presence of the man I was fated to when I had nothing to hand to cover my naked body? "I am in the bath." I added for good measure, despite him knowing full well where I was. He had filled the bath for me... added the oil... the candles... a perfect scene for a romantic or relaxing bath... a little too relaxing, perhaps when it had made me fall asleep.
