Chapter 1 - chapter 1 ( Love is painful)

Once upon a time, in a small yet lively town filled with the hum of everyday life, there lived a boy named Arin and a girl named Maya. Their story was not just an ordinary love story—it was one that grew slowly, deeply, and beautifully, like a quiet melody that stays in your heart forever.

Arin was a thoughtful and introverted young man. He loved books, long walks, and the comfort of solitude. People often misunderstood him, thinking he was distant, but in truth, he simply felt things more deeply than most. On the other hand, Maya was full of life—bright, cheerful, and endlessly curious about the world. She had a way of lighting up any room she walked into, and her laughter was something people remembered long after she was gone.

Their paths first crossed on a rainy afternoon. Arin had taken shelter in a small café, sitting by the window with a book in his hand. Maya rushed in, drenched from the rain, her hair clinging to her face but her smile still shining. The café was full, and the only empty chair was across from Arin.

"May I sit here?" she asked.

Arin looked up, slightly startled, and nodded quietly. That simple moment—two strangers sharing a table—was the beginning of everything.

At first, their conversations were small and casual. Maya would talk about her day, her dreams, and the little things that made her happy. Arin mostly listened, occasionally responding with soft, thoughtful words. But over time, something changed. Arin began to open up, sharing his thoughts, his fears, and the stories he never told anyone. Maya listened with genuine interest, never judging, always understanding.

Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. They started meeting regularly—sometimes at the café, sometimes in the park, sometimes just walking aimlessly through the streets. With every meeting, their bond grew stronger.

Maya brought color into Arin's quiet world. She taught him how to laugh freely, how to enjoy the present moment. Arin, in return, gave Maya a sense of calm and depth she had never experienced before. He showed her that it was okay to slow down, to feel deeply, and to embrace silence.

But like all beautiful stories, theirs was not without challenges.

One day, Maya received an opportunity to move to another city for her studies—a dream she had worked towards for years. It was a chance she couldn't ignore, yet the thought of leaving Arin behind filled her with sadness.

When she told him, Arin remained silent for a long time. His heart felt heavy, but he knew he couldn't hold her back.

"You should go," he finally said. "Your dreams matter."

Maya looked at him, her eyes filled with tears. "And what about us?"

Arin smiled gently, though it hid his pain. "If it's real, distance won't end it."

The day she left was one of the hardest days of their lives. The train station was crowded, yet they felt completely alone in their moment. They didn't say much—some feelings are too deep for words. As the train began to move, Maya leaned out and whispered, "Wait for me."

Arin nodded. "Always."

Distance tested them in ways they had never imagined. There were days of longing, nights of silence, and moments of doubt. But they held on—through phone calls, messages, and memories that kept them connected.

Years passed.

One evening, Arin returned to the same café where it all began. He sat by the window, just like before, lost in thought. The rain started falling again, just like that first day.

And then, the door opened.

Maya walked in.

She looked different—more mature, more confident—but her smile was exactly the same. She walked up to his table and said the same words she had said years ago:

"May I sit here?"

Arin looked up, his eyes filled with emotion, and smiled. "I've been saving this seat for you."

In that moment, everything came full circle. The distance, the time, the waiting—it had all led them back to each other.

Their love was no longer just a feeling; it was a journey they had survived together. And this time, they knew—they were home.

And so, their story continued—not as two separate lives, but as one shared path, filled with love, understanding, and the quiet promise that no matter where life took them, they would always find their way back to each other.
