The Temple of stars,
The temple of stars were made centuries ago, to worship the star gods who were also the guardians of the universe to keep every single mortal in line just like how every Constellations are perfectly shaped.
They make the path that every mortal will walk on, clear everything so that every piece of this world will be in order. In the Empire of Aragon, There are three Primordial gods that once roamed the universe.
Nüwa, Chang'e, Shangdi
The three primordial gods who ensured that everything goes on to what they please, they were the root of all religion in the mortal world. The three of them had their own roles to fulfill, Nüwa created life while Chang'e gave light-Shangdi, he who gave mortals freedom and rationality and humanity within their heart and minds. Along with the saying that their faith within themselves bloom once they've flourish as a human-as a mortal.
And soon, another deities has entered.
They were called the Supreme deities of the star, stars that can be seen in night sky whose sparks were loved by many. The most powerful among the sons of Cepheus: Rigel, The one who safeguards the order of Constellation Orion.
The God of Constellation Orion, Empathy and Light. In the history books, Aragon is born after The Goddess Cassiopeia gave them her blessings and will. And that was the secret to Aragon Imperial Family's Special mana.
During the first years of the world, Humans have no faith and respect to its creators. Hence, The Divine punishment arise from the very hands of Rigel and Arcturus who made sure that no humans can see the stars who lead their path.
"Humans realized their importance late," She looked to her right, It's Cillian. Cillian de Malakai Deulofeu, The younger brother of Duke Deulofeu. Currently, both of them were standing before Rigel's statue. The Marble statue that never broke even if lots of people has thrown rocks at it several times.
The statue looks like it was once alive, a statue that holds a weight of ancient stories that no one could ever tell. "God of Constellation Orion.."
"May the honor be yours," Ariadne said before lighting the incense as Cillion watched her in pure admiration, "may the glory shine upon you."
Like the soft azure, the moonlight itself blessed the Aragon Empire once again. "The moon and stars will show twice for this year,"
Butterflies glowed beneath the night sky, as if they were dancing and being joyful for the moment the Celestial sky has showed. "The first one will be during spring, and we'll be preparing a festival for that." Audelie smiled at the thought of seeing the stars and moon once again, For the Aragonian people, this is normal—it is normal for them to celebrate the Great Star Gods' Veil becoming transparent, because still, Rigel and Arcturus still showed them empathy, not only that; they also listened to their wishes and prayers.
"It'll be around spring..." Ariadne smiled at the thought of seeing the stars, this will be the second time seeing the stars because it shows itself rarely. "That is the longest time the shroud will become transparent." Cillion said while his chin rests in his palm, his eyes focused on the moving scenery outside the window while the carriage moves toward the Grand Ducal Estate to send off Ariadne.
"Spring time is a beautiful season, seeing the stars and moons while flowers are blooming.. it feels like a dream." Right. Cillion just agreed at the end, there is no way he would break the bubble of Ariadne seeing the stars and moon during spring. There is no way he would ruin her happiness.
The carriage turned into a halt when they reached the front gates of the Grand Ducal Estate where Ariadne lives, the candles and lights are all over the place to light up the path toward the main entrance. "I guess this is where we will depart."
"Thank you, Auntie Audelie." Ariadne watched the carriage leave the main gate, and so, he went inside only to meet the bright lights in the main hall where there are maidservants working and Dione is at.
Dione, the child her father had adopted along with its brother named Abel. Dione sat there on the couch while skimming through his book in which he probably got at the library located in the Annex. His short and soft silver-white hair moves along with every small movements he make such as leaning.
"How was your pray over?" He said as he closed off his book before diverting his attention towards the girl who just arrived. "It's fine, dark as usual. You and Abel should come over soon, Though it may be dark, the place is calming."
Unlike his Brother Abel, Dione has this light that surrounds him even at the dark. His shining icy blue eyes that may seem cold can be so soft and show affection as if it has its own emotions. "When abel comes, you can persuade him. But if you failed to do so, I'm afraid you'll go there alone once again."
Ariadne just stared at him for a moment, even if he was just talking while sitting in that couch, he was radiating like a star. Like he was no human, but a boy born from the goddess of beauty. "Abel is hard to persuade." She said, sure of her answer and the outcome if she even tried to persuade the other.
"you haven't tried, so why are you so confident with that answer?" He answered, raising his brow a bit. Dione knew that there was a side to his brother where one can persuade him in a whim if that benefits him as well. "I just know it."
Dione softly laughed, and that laugh was like a melody that surrounded and echoed through the halls of the Household. "By any chance, would you educate me and give me starters with the gods and Goddesses your country worship?"
for a moment, Ariadne cannot believe that Dione had showed interest to the star deities that brought Aragon into its eternal glory. "Will you listen to me?" His eyes sparked with interest and willingness, "I won't be telling you this if I won't listen to you. I know the basics, but I know there's depth why they're the chosen gods you all worship."
Of course, there is depth.
They are not just the gods who led the people of Aragon to where it is; they were the root of their success, life and their source of passion, bravery. Ariadne was about to speak when all of a sudden, the door burst open, It was abel.
Abel, the complete opposite of Dione when it comes to personality and looks. Abel's hair was platinum blonde that shine like the sun and eyes that is enough to fright one innocent being. Eyes that resembles the sun with its gold color that nobles find interest. It made people question did the two of them even came from the same womb? yet it was adored by people and was considered 'rare'. Some nobles even want to gouge his eye out and sell it for a very high price.
Like his eyes was replaceable for them to say such vulgar words. "How was the expedition?" Ariadne asked.
"Abel did all the work, nothing much to worry." The Grand duke seemed to be so pleased with Abel's performances in magic and swords lately. He can infuse his mana to his sword perfectly, no flaws and no blockage.
He was skilled like a full fledged knight.
They say, The Grand duke was gifted by the gods due to his righteousness and his love for peace and that was the reason why he was gifted with such beautiful daughter and talented adopted sons that feels like the gods just threw them to give Enzo glory and blessings.
"Would you go for another expedition tomorrow?" Finally, Dione spoke while looking towards the grand duke and his brother. "Will you come along?" The Grand duke, Enzo asked.
"I might."
