Synopsis
In a quiet neighborhood of Tokyo, the story begins with a coincidence… or so it seems. When Hana discovers a human hand buried beneath the earth, a door opens to a mystery that does not belong to this era. Bodies without identities, faces that do not belong to the present, and secrets buried for five centuries. Kenji, a reclusive young man, finds himself at the heart of this nightmare—not as a witness… but as a piece of the puzzle. Every clue points to one terrifying truth: Some stories never end… they simply wait for someone to breathe life back into them. Between past and present, between love and betrayal, and between who we choose to be… and what we were forced to become— Can the cycle of time be broken? Or is every attempt to survive… just the beginning of another end? "For fans of Steins ;Gate, Erased, and Ghost in the Shell."

Chapter 1 - The Parallel Horizon’s Remains

Chapter 1: The Observer's Balcony and the Pulse of the Street

In the spring of 2026, the Yanaka district looked like a damp oil painting that hadn't yet dried. The narrow, winding alleys, like ancient stone serpents, breathed the scent of wet cedarwood and temple incense. On the second floor of a weathered wooden house, Kenji (24) was practicing intense push-ups. His body, taut like guitar strings, glistened with sweat under the pale dawn light. Kenji, an analytical writer living in self-imposed isolation, never took his eyes off the opposite balcony.

There, Hana appeared. She embodied a beautiful chaos; a woman in her twenties with delicate Japanese features and eyes radiating a rebellious intelligence. Putting on her earrings with trembling hands, she shouted into the depths of her house:

— "Mom! I'm going to miss the first lecture! The damn bus in this neighborhood doesn't wait for the dead!"

Kenji watched the rhythm of her hurried steps. He knew the scent of her perfume—a blend of jasmine and old book paper. Yet, he remained the "Silent Neighbor," trapped behind a barrier of formalities despite years of proximity.

At the five-way intersection, where Mrs. Sato's old house stood—a decaying building choked by ivy—Hana tripped. Her books scattered, and she fell hard on her knees. She looked back in anger, but her expression froze. A dirt mound, protruding about 10 centimeters, had brazenly split the concrete tiles.

With her metal binder, Hana poked the top of the mound with a childish curiosity that suddenly turned into funeral terror. Pale, smooth fingers emerged, with nails painted in a faint pink, as if they had never touched dirt a day in their lives. Hana let out a scream that wasn't just a sound; it was a call that awakened a nightmare buried beneath the neighborhood's feet.

Chapter 2: The Mortuary of Silent Colors

Two months passed, and the neighborhood became a forbidden military zone. Inside the dark investigation office, Superintendent Sato, a man in his sixties with sunken eyes, puffed his "Mevius" cigarette while staring at the whiteboard.

— Sato (hoarsely): "213 bodies, Takashi... so far."

The young detective, Takashi, in his sharp black suit, flipped through photos of the victims. They weren't just corpses; they wore silk kimonos adorned with royal purple and gold from bygone eras. Their faces were relaxed, their hair meticulously styled, as if they were guests at an eternal wedding. No blood, no bruises—only a "clean death."

— Takashi: "The strangest part, sir, is that we've searched every database in Japan. Not a single fingerprint match, no civil records, no missing persons reports. It's as if they stepped out of a rift in time."

Chapter 3: The Impossible Corpse and the Genetic Key

Takashi's phone rang late at night. Dr. Ito, the forensic pathologist, was gasping on the other end:

— Ito: "Takashi... Body No. 214. She died only an hour ago! And the dirt under her fingernails doesn't belong to modern Japan!"

Takashi rushed to the morgue. There, he found a girl in her twenties wearing a blue dress embroidered with cherry blossoms, clutching a dried rose between her folded hands. As he reviewed photos of the neighborhood, his eyes stopped at Body No. 42; a man in his forties with strong features and a small scar over his left eyebrow... the exact same scar Kenji had.

After reviewing tribal archives, Mika, an amateur investigator obsessed with history, entered carrying an ancient scroll:

— Mika: "This man isn't just a lookalike. He is Akira, the legendary hero of the 'Izumo' tribe who disappeared 500 years ago. Kenji isn't just a distant descendant; he is his genetic manifestation, carrying the 'Blood Code' to close this rift."

Chapter 4: DNA Corridors (The Thin Thread)

Inside the forensic lab lit by cold fluorescent lamps, Mika opened a plastic-sealed file.

— Mika: "Takashi, the results from the National Ancestry Lab are in. Body No. 42 (Akira) has a rare mutation in the Y-chromosome. A secret scan of the neighborhood revealed a 99.9% match with Kenji. He is a carbon copy frozen by time for 500 years."

She pulled out another paper regarding Hana.

— Mika: "As for Hana, her story is even more chilling. Her DNA matches the mitochondrial lineage of the missing Old Lady Sato. Hana carries the 'Royal Mark' of the tribe's priestesses, which explains her telepathic nightmares."

Chapter 5: Interrogating Spirits (The First Encounter)

Takashi summoned Kenji and Hana to the observation room.

— Takashi: "Kenji, Hana... your neighborhood is a collapsing 'dam.' These bodies are suicidal attempts from the past to reach you. Kenji, you bear the face of the hero who failed the tribe. Hana, you carry the blood of the priestess who loved him."

— Kenji (clenching his fist): "What do you want from us? We are just ordinary people!"

— Mika (calmly): "Look at your palms."

Hana's cherry blossom birthmark began to glow a pulsing purple. Kenji felt heat coursing through his arm as fine lines appeared under his skin, resembling ancient warrior tattoos.

— Mika: "These are 'Time Locks.' Mrs. Sato's house will only open for you. You are the Key and the Lock."

Chapter 6: The Collapse of Reality

At midnight, under heavy rain, the four stood before the decaying Sato house. As Hana touched the doorknob, reality didn't just open; it "folded." The walls turned to dust, and the ground beneath them vanished into a dark void. Kenji grabbed Hana tightly as they heard a whispering voice: "The lost blood has returned... let the sacrifice begin."

Chapter 7: Feudal Japan (The First Clash)

They woke up to the smell of fire. Tokyo was gone. They stood in a burning rice field. Before them stood Akira (the original Kenji), holding a blood-dripping sword.

— Akira: "What kind of demons are you? Wearing strange skins (denim jackets) and possessing our faces?"

— Takashi (firing a shot into the air): "Stop! We are your descendants whom you buried in the earth for five hundred years!"

Akira froze. He looked at Kenji, then at Hana. His sword fell as he whispered: "That mark... those eyes... Priestess, have you come back to forgive me?"

Chapter 8: The Altar of Shadows

Behind the Great Tatsumi Waterfall, they entered the Purification Cave, glowing with a pulsing purple light.

— Akira: "Beware... Priest Kai has sold his soul to the shadows of the valley for eternal power."

Inside, Kai stood with a bone dagger before the tied-up Young Priestess (the ancestor). He laughed hysterically: "Akira! You brought me living sacrifices from the 'Iron Age'! By spilling their blood, I will rule all eras!"

Chapter 9: Clash of Eras (Bullets vs. Sorcery)

The priests' guards charged. Takashi opened fire with his Sig Sauer. The thunder of the gun terrified the tribesmen, but Kai began chanting black litanies. The corpses in the cave began to move like puppets.

— Mika: "Takashi! Bullets can't kill ghosts! Kenji... place your hand on the stone! Your blood is the only thing that can break the spell!"

Chapter 10: Breaking the Curse

Kenji grabbed Hana's hand, and they placed them together on the glowing stone. A white light engulfed the cave.

— Kenji: "Enough death! We choose peace!"

The white light absorbed the black chants. The sky above the cave exploded with rain. Kai fell, scorched by the light of the "Truth." The war and the sin were finally over.

Chapter 11: The Golden Farewell

Akira's body began to fade into golden particles. He smiled at Kenji: "You fixed what my swords could not, my son. Go... and write a story that doesn't end in death."

The Young Priestess kissed Hana's forehead: "Thank you, my granddaughter... now, I shall rest."

The temporal rift shrank, pulling the four back into the void.

Chapter 12: Awakening in a World Without Scars

Kenji woke up in his bed. He ran to the balcony to find Hana leaving her house in a simple summer dress. There was no dirt mound, no fear. At the intersection, they stopped.

— Hana (whispering): "Kenji... do you remember?"

— Kenji (taking her hand): "Every second. We changed everything."

They walked toward the cafe, passing Takashi and Mika, who were laughing together. There were no bodies, no investigation—only a quiet life earned through courage.

But... in a dark corner of the neighborhood...

A piece of old cloth fell from the sky, stained with dried blood. It belonged to Kai. A small child playing in the alley picked it up, and suddenly, the child's eyes turned crimson for a fleeting moment...

The End... (To begin a new legend)
