"Mhhmm", I murmured ignoring the person calling my name indistinctly,i jolted awake my eyes snapping open suddenly as I dashed out of my bed running to my bathroom. I heard someone unlocked and opened my door to my room fully aware of the person who can enter my room which is none other than my aunt ,it went silent afterwards I believed my aunt should have know by hearing the shower on that I am currently bathing in my bathroom and thought she would have left.In no time I am done bathing and got out of my bathroom,I jerked still seeing her here in my room standing like an elegant statue.
"Heyy!!....You scared the soul out of me".
"I already got the hairstylist and make up artist on their way here so you better behave and be ready before they are here"she said sternly ignoring my complain and left my room.
I heard another knock and I hurriedly went ahead to open the door about to tell her that I will soon be out in time but surprised to see an mid old woman instead. I could only made the sound "Oh"
"They are here ma'am" She said while she bowed slightly which I noticed as a sign of gesture
"Oh" I made another oh sound not knowing what to say,I saw two ladies behind her and opened my door more widely for them to come in.
"We are done ma'am" she said as I felt her finally done touching on my face,I opened my eyes to see the view before me I was in awe for a moment before someone came in,the same woman came in bowing her head slightly like she did earlier,I felt somehow uncomfortable with that but what could I do? The last time I told her about this
"Miss grace,can you atleast please refrain you bowing down to me atleast?"I politely said not to offend her
"I'm fine Jennie, you are a good child and I know this can make you uncomfortable sometimes but that's the rule that madam has given us and I can't stop it?"she said smiling beautifully.
"Madam is waiting for you outside" she said bowing but before she bowed again I rushed over to her holding her shoulder,I smiled to her.
I was descending down the stairs carefully not to fall,Unfortunately I missed one of the steps and stumbled forward almost reaching the floor before I felt a strong arm around my waist saving me from ruining my day,I look up to see pair of eyes cold yet feels amiable.
He was tall, he had a strong - defined muscular build, his long jet-black hair styled in bun and those sharp turquoise eyes looks so appealing and intoxicating ,his masculine jawline looks just so perfect and seductive. I couldn't help but drawn to his chiseled features not aware of how serious and intimidating he looks,his handsomeness was suffocating even when his face was concealed behind a mask,I couldn't quite figure out his facial features,Still he's looks is so handsome and appealing.
"Are you done gawking at me?" His deep voice jerked me back to the present, I realize that I have been gawking at him at him for long truly.
"Uh....a-am sorry,I wasn't aware I lost myself...uhm...thank you" I stammered trying to compose myself 'why the hell am I stammering', I thought to myself before pulling myself off his arm trying to regain my composure,I felt a bit cold because of the absence of his warmth.
I can't denied the fact that I liked the way his arm felt warm around me."Do you enjoy staring at people that much?" I widen my eyes not because of his deep voice anymore but of how rude he is.
I scoffed "Excuse me...I believed you heard me when I said I was sorry besides it's not my fault you weren't watching your way either" I left his presence not knowing what I might do next and don't want to repeat the same mistake of gawking at him again.I could feel his burning gaze on me,making my skin prickle.
I felt his gaze on me a bit embarrassed but all I could do to ignore the burning gaze on me and walk away from there.

He couldn't tear his gaze away from her figure, he felt an unusual attraction towards her, despite her rudeness but still couldn't take his gaze away from her figure,he felt something unusual as he stared at her.She looks beautiful and captivating with her flawless shape.He find himself attracted to her, Earlier it wasn't like he didn't enjoy her staring at him but he had to composed himself, ignoring his inner desire.And how the hell could he be having this strange feeling for some stranger he just met in the ball.
"Mr. Ruggiero?"
"Hmm" He hummed as his eyes are still fixed on the woman.
He had a frown plastered on his face immediately when he saw her talking a woman and also smiling at a man beside the woman,he almost lost the patience In him to punch the man she smiling at,but one of his business associate call for his attention. The man came forward while grinning said
"It's a pleasure to finally see you here "
"Hmm.... Ricardo" he finds it difficult to speak at first for the first time ever, while while pinching the bridge of his nose before he answered as a response,he didn't believe he can't still get over of that mysterious rude lady,who the hell is she?,why does she affect him so much that he couldn't control himself.
Fully well known that the almighty Vicenzo would not attend to any ballroom unless he had something under his sleeve to do.
"Uhm..Mr Ruggiero, It has been a while and--"Before he could complete his words someone cut him off
"Hey..Vicenzo "she purred as she moved elegantly and in a seductive manner,her blonde hair mid-short swayed down to her shoulder,she looks pretty but not as pretty as the lady he met earlier,her red mini dress with a v-shaped neckline revealing her cleavage and lots of makeup on her face and perfume on. Vincenzo gaze swept swiftly over her as his expression was unreadable,he smirked.
"You finally came" she said excitedly like as if she has seen her long lost time angel,Never in her life would she think that the Almighty Vincenzo would attend the ball he has been invited to.He barely attend to any occasion so she wonder what could really got into him.
"I hope you still remember my daughter Patr--"
" I remembered Patricia, right?"he cut him off, dipping one of his hands into his pocket and the other one with a glass of whiskey he just took from the beverage server that passed by.
Patricia blushed and smiled that her long time crunch could still remember her after years being apart.
His mind wandered back to that strange woman back he met earlier
"Excuse me" He excused himself abruptly leaving Ricardo and Patricia bewildered. Everyone knows Vincenzo for his rudeness, Ricardo wasn't surprised that he hasn't changed a bit after all this while.
Same arrogance and rudeness in him after these years.

"Jacopo" Vincenzo called out with a low voice and commanding tone, his eyes was fixed to the views,a shadow emerged behind him, bowed his head as a respect to his boss even though Vincenzo didn't see him from the back.
He lit up one of the cigarettes he took out of the carton and lit it up as his eyes were still fixed to the views
"I want to know every single damn thing about that strange lady I stumbled on earlier "he said firmly.Jacopo nodded and disappeared into the night, leaving Vincenzo on his own thoughts.
