Thomas.
The call disconnected with a harsh, abrupt tone, leaving nothing behind but the hollow hum of dead air. I stared down at the glowing screen of my phone, my knuckles turning stark white as my fingers crushed the edges of the device.
A red-hot wave of pure, unadulterated fury surged through my veins, threatening to scorch everything in its path.
"She dared..." I growled under my breath, my voice dripping with lethal malice. "That pathetic, sniveling bitch actually dared to threaten me?!"
With a roared curse, I hurled the phone across my massive study. It smashed violently against the far oak wall, shattering into dozens of plastic and glass fragments that rained down onto the carpet.
My chest heaved as I slammed both palms down onto the surface of my mahogany desk, the heavy wood trembling under the force of my outrage.
My breathing was ragged, my mind racing in a chaotic storm of absolute disgust.
Who the hell did Bella think she was?
