Internal Document of the Guild Archives Access Level: Public – Authorized Broadcast
📜 Archivist's Note
This document outlines the fundamental principles governing the evolution of beings in our world. It is highly recommended for new recruits, as well as anyone wishing to understand what separates an ordinary human from a being who has transcended their limits.
Reading this document is advised after taking note of recent events involving fresh recruits and a technician assistant. Some might find answers to their questions here.
✍️ Author's Note
Hohoho! Your author is back, dear readers!
The "World-Building" special chapters are your official databooks to decode the universe of Invalid Seed.
No major spoilers.
Only the rules, scales, and principles that shape every battle and every ascension.
This first installment lifts the veil on the core mechanics:
Levels, Training, Tiers, and what separates a human… from what comes after.
Best read after Chapter 2—to understand why three fresh, leveled-up recruits can still be dominated by a "systemless" human.
⚔️ The Three Pillars of Power
1. Level — Approaching the Limit
A human or being possesses natural biological limits. Their body and mind—even when perfectly trained—cannot exceed a certain threshold.
Leveling up gradually improves the body and the mind. It is not a sudden explosion of power.
It is a steady crawl toward one's own biological limits.
The higher the Level, the more perfected the body becomes, getting closer to its absolute maximum potential. But it remains within the framework of the current "vessel."
> 💡 Leveling fills the vessel. It does not change its structure.
>
2. Training — The Mastery
Possessing an upgraded body does not mean knowing how to use it.
Training is learning to correctly exploit what your Level allows you to do.
It is coordination, technique, energy management, reading the flow of combat, and anticipation. Without training, raw potential remains clumsy, unstable, and wasted.
> 💡 Level gives the capacity. Training teaches how to control it.
>
3. Tier — Changing the Vessel
The Tier is different.
It comes into play when the natural limits (of the body) are reached.
Franchising a Tier is not about filling the same container further. It is about changing the container entirely.
Imagine your body as a vessel:
* Leveling up is filling it.
* Training is learning to manipulate what it contains.
* Advancing a Tier is replacing that vessel with another—broader, denser, and more resilient.
After advancing a Tier, the old maximum becomes the new minimum. What was once a summit becomes the base.
It is a reset... but on a higher plane of existence.
🔍 Application to Recent Events
The three recruits in Chapter 1 gained several levels by eliminating the bats. Their "vessel" filled faster than their ability to master it. They have raw power, but not the training to exploit it properly.
Remedy, on the other hand, has no System. His vessel is that of an ordinary human—Tier 0, Level low or even non-existent.
But his training is so intense that it compensates for this gap. Years of fighting monsters, absorbing pain, and sharpening his technique.
When he locked eyes with the lightning mage, it wasn't a higher level that paralyzed the recruit. It was pure experience. True fear. The instinct of someone who has brushed against death enough times to no longer fear it.
Power is good, but experience cannot be bought.
📊 The Structure of Acts
Acts represent the major stages of a being's evolution. Each Act contains several Tiers.

ACT II 🔒 LOCKED
ACT III 🔒 LOCKED
ACT IV 🔒 LOCKED
ACT V 🔒 LOCKED
Note: Tier 8 marks the completion of Act I and opens the path toward Act II. The exact levels per tier are intentionally hidden in this document. Their reveal will follow the progression of the story. (Ahem, on a planetary scale...👀)
Hohoho…
Now you understand.
Intense training does not create a monster. A high Level isn't enough either.
You must fill the vessel. Learn to use it. Then break it… to adopt a bigger one.
Next time, we will analyze the first threshold: Tier 1.
