Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Ants Beneath the Throne

The vast hall of the Great Luo Divine Dynasty remained shrouded in suffocating silence, yet beneath that silence, betrayal festered like a spreading plague. Ministers who once stood as pillars of loyalty had now shifted their stances, their bodies angled subtly toward Ye Chen, their eyes no longer holding reverence for the throne.

At the highest seat, Emperor Luo Tian observed everything without the slightest fluctuation in expression. There was no anger, no disbelief—only a quiet, ancient calm, as if he had already foreseen this outcome long ago.

Beside him, Luo Yan slowly leaned back against his seat, his fingers resting lazily along the armrest. His gaze swept across the hall, passing over the trembling ministers, the arrogant Ye Chen, and the coldly smiling Liu Ruyan.

The Luo clansmen were also like un effected by this betrayal.

A faint chuckle escaped Luo Yan lips.

"Alas… ants will be ants."

The words were soft, almost casual, yet they echoed throughout the hall like a divine decree.

Silence.

Absolute silence.

Every minister froze.

Those who had just stepped forward now felt their scalps tingle, a strange unease creeping into their hearts. It was not the content of the words—but the tone. That calm, indifferent tone carried no anger, no desperation… only absolute disregard.

As if their betrayal… meant nothing.

Ye Chen's expression darkened instantly.

"Who do you think you are?" he sneered, stepping forward, his aura rising sharply. "Just because you were born into a powerful background, you think you can act however you want?"

His voice grew colder, filled with confidence.

"Today, I will slaughter your entire Luo clan… and make the Prime Minister as the new emperor."

A faint smile appeared on the Prime Minister's face, his earlier fear now replaced by ambition. With a God King backing him, what was there to fear?

Around them, the ministers grew more resolute, their earlier hesitation completely gone.

After all—

The Chrono Chaotic Slaughterverse was vast beyond imagination. It contained hundred of thousands lower and middle worlds, an endless expanse governed by rigid hierarchies.

Worlds were divided into ...

Low-tier worlds—where cultivation peaked at Great Emperor.

Mid-tier worlds—where True Immortals stood as the ceiling.

Top-tier worlds—where Immortal Emperors ruled as supreme beings.

Divine-tier worlds—where God Emperors could be born.

And beyond all these… extreme-tier worlds.

It was world with no upper limits.

The Chrono Chaotic Slaughterverse was one such extreme-tier world.

And yet—

Despite its boundless potential, it had not even produced a True God.

This was the greatest weakness of the Luo Dynasty.

Against a God King… they were nothing.

At least, that was what everyone present in hall thinked except imperial clan members.

At the center of it all, Luo Yan merely glanced at Ye Chen, his gaze carrying faint amusement, as though he were watching a clown performing on stage.

Before the tension could escalate further, a cold, commanding voice cut through the hall.

"Enough."

It was Xi Yao.

Her figure hovered slightly above the ground, her aura spreading like an endless sea, pressing down on every soul present. Even the strongest ministers struggled to breathe under that overwhelming pressure. Her voice felt like it can destroy them.

"I am not a bloodthirsty person," she said indifferently. "If all members of the Luo Clan commit suicide… I may consider sparing the rest.". She said with smile,

Her words were calm.

Too calm. She had her own calculations. If the prime minister was made emperor, he will be a puppet emperor. The Great Luo Divine Dynasty ruled entire Chrono Chaotic Sluaghterverse . This world was hidden in dark even she if not for her disciple Ye Chen having relation with Liu Ruyan she won't able to find its location.

And the cultivators of this world were weak. She think that this was a Divine Tier World because she never heard of Extreme Tier Worlds. And in this world there was not even a True God Expert. The Slaughterverse was vast with various. resources. If she developed a power here it will be very easy and feasible.

And Xi Yao words to minsters, they sounded like salvation.

Hope of survival kicked them instantly.

One minister quickly stepped forward, bowing toward the throne, his voice trembling yet resolute.

"Your Majesty… please… sacrifice yourself for the greater good."

Another followed.

"Yes, Your Majesty! If the imperial clan perishes, the rest of us may live!"

Voices rose one after another. Many minsters urged Emperor to sacrifice himself and Luo clan.

What had once been the symbol of absolute authority was now being urged toward self-destruction by those it had nurtured.

The irony was suffocating.

And yet—

Luo Tian finally spoke.

' Old folks ,come out'.

His voice was calm, yet carried a faint trace of something deeper.

"I think… people have forgotten the terror of the Great Luo Divine Dynasty."

The moment his words fell—

Space cracked.

Not torn by brute force, but split open as if acknowledging a higher authority.

From the void, eight figures stepped out.

Three women.

Five men.

Each one carried an ancient aura, their presence heavy with the weight of countless eras. Their eyes were calm, yet within them flickered a coldness that spoke of endless slaughter and dominance. Their face felt like they have seen everything.

They were the ancestors of the Luo Clan.

The foundation of the dynasty's terrifying legacy.

Yet—

Despite their overwhelming presence, Xi Yao did not even bother to hide her disdain.

Her gaze swept over them, quickly assessing their strength.

The strongest among them… was only at the Quasi God peak.

To her—

They were ants. Slightly bigger ants.

A faint sneer formed on her lips.

At that moment, one of the ancestors stepped forward.

Luo Wudi.

His figure was tall, his expression calm, yet his aura carried an ancient brutality that made even the void tremble faintly. He spoke in majestic voice.

"What gave you the courage," he said slowly, his voice echoing through the hall, "to slaughter the Imperial Luo Clan?"

Shock rippled through the ministers.

Some even looked at him as if he had gone mad due to his age..

A Quasi God… speaking to a God King like this?

Even a single breath from a God King could annihilate him.

"Impudent!" Xi Yao roared, her killing intent surging violently. "A mere Quasi God dares to speak before this seat"

But before she could finish—

Luo Wudi raised his hand.

Within his palm appeared a black pot.

It looked very simple.

Unadorned.

Yet the moment it appeared—

The temperature of the entire hall dropped.

A suffocating, sinister aura spread outward, not overwhelming in force, but deeply unsettling. It was as if countless wailing souls were trapped within, their despair leaking into reality. All peoples felt their soul suffocating.

Even Xi Yao's expression changed.

For the first time—

She felt danger.

As a God King, her soul was already tempered to an unimaginable level, nearly indestructible. And yet, the moment her gaze touched the pot…

A chilling sensation gripped her.

It felt as though her soul itself was being dragged… pulled… devoured.

"What… is that…?" she whispered unconsciously.

Luo Wudi's lips curled slightly.

"You ants think you can slaughter the Luo Clan?"

His voice turned cold.

"Today… you will pay the price."

He lifted the pot slightly.

"Refine."

The single word fell like a judgment. All eight ansectors of luo clan used thier power to activate that pot.

Instantly, the black pot erupted with an eerie, devouring aura. Invisible yet absolute, it surged forward and enveloped Xi Yao before she could react.

"No—!"

Her scream echoed through the hall.

But it was useless.

Her body remained intact, untouched.

Yet her soul—

Was being torn away. It was his soul was ripped from his body.

Bit by bit.

Pulled into the abyss within the pot.

She struggled, her God King aura erupting with full force, shaking the entire hall, cracking space, distorting reality itself.

But it changed nothing.

The pot ignored her power.

Ignored her realm.

Ignored everything.

It targeted only one thing—

Her soul.

At the center of the hall, Luo Yan watched calmly, a faint smile playing on his lips.

The Soul Refining Pot.

A treasure forged from countless souls across eras.

A weapon that transcended realms.

Within the Luo Clan, it was merely considered… a decent treasure.

A treasure ranked above even God Emperor.

Xi Yao's screams grew weaker.

Her aura collapsed.

Her resistance faded.

And within moments—

Silence returned.

Her soul had been completely devoured.

Gone.

Erased.

The hall fell into deathly stillness.

Every minister stood frozen, their minds blank, their bodies trembling uncontrollably.

A God King…

Had just been erased… like nothing.

Fear—true, absolute fear—finally descended.
