THE TALENT HIERARCHY
Talent is the immutable foundation of a cultivator's existence, determined at the moment of birth or awakening. It dictates the limit of one's growth, the quality of mana one can refine, and the speed at which skills are mastered. In the Thirteen Worlds, talent is the unyielding wall that separates the elite from the masses.
Grade 1: Yellow Talent
This is the most common grade, found in roughly sixty percent of the population. Those with Yellow talent possess low mana sensitivity and are destined to become the workforce of society. Their limit is the Core Formation realm; they can never advance further, capping out as skilled workers or standard soldiers.
Grade 2: Orange Talent
Found in twenty-five percent of the population, Orange talent is the standard for professional cultivators. These individuals have decent mana sensitivity and can reach the Foundation Establishment realm, making them the backbone of guilds and military forces.
Grade 3: Green Talent
Occurring in only ten percent of the population, Green talent signifies high mana affinity. These individuals can reach the Mana Heart realm and often serve as elite officers or guild squad leaders. They are considered local talents.
Grade 4: Blue Talent
A rarity at four percent of the population. Those with Blue talent possess exceptional mana control and can reach the Spirit Soul realm. They are the City Lords, the Guild Masters, and the powerhouses capable of creating Domains. They are the elite of the elite.
Grade 5: Purple Talent
Found in less than one percent of the population. Purple talent allows for the comprehension of Laws, enabling a cultivator to reach the Origin Realm and beyond. Their mana develops unique properties that can alter local reality. These individuals are considered National Treasures, to be protected at all costs.
Grade 6: White Talent
A theoretical grade, occurring in 0.00001% of the population—perhaps once in a millennium. White talent indicates infinite adaptability. The soul acts as a perfect conduit for any energy type, and skills can transcend mortal limits. These individuals resonate with the fundamental laws of the universe, possessing unlimited growth potential.
THE NINE REALMS OF CULTIVATION
The path to power is divided into Nine Major Realms. Each realm is a fundamental transformation of the body and soul, and each is further divided into nine ranks. Breaking through a realm typically requires resources, enlightenment, or intense combat.
Realm 1: Mana Gathering
The foundation stage where a cultivator draws ambient mana into their body, saturating their cells and meridians. This process typically takes one to five years. Physically, the cultivator gains enhanced stamina and faster recovery, though seventy percent of awakened humans never progress beyond this point.
Realm 2: Core Formation
At this stage, gathered mana is compressed into a solid core within the lower dantian. The quality of this core—Cracked, Standard, Flawless, Perfect, or Transcendent—determines future mana capacity. This realm takes five to fifteen years to complete. Cultivators gain the ability to manifest their powers more consistently, and their mana becomes visible as a faint aura.
Realm 3: Foundation Establishment
A painful restructuring of the body's energy pathways. The cultivator undergoes "purification," expelling impurities and strengthening bones and organs. This stage typically takes ten to thirty years. It is here that some cultivators begin to sense "Intent seeds" in compatible weapons or techniques.
Realm 4: Mana Heart
The core expands and merges with the heart, making mana and blood one. The cultivator's heartbeat becomes audible to those with enhanced senses, and wounds heal rapidly. As long as the heart beats, they can sustain mana techniques indefinitely. This stage takes twenty to fifty years to reach.
Realm 5: Spirit Soul
Cultivation extends beyond the physical. The soul begins to absorb mana, becoming tangible. The cultivator can manifest spiritual projections and survive wounds that would kill normal humans. Sleep becomes optional. This is the stage where Domain seeds may first awaken.
Realm 6: Origin Realm
The cultivator's will begins to shape the elements into anything they desire. Their presence becomes heavy, exerting pressure on weaker beings just by proximity. This milestone marks the full manifestation of a Domain, within which they can suppress or enhance specific powers.
Realm 7: Law Comprehension
Also known as the Supreme Realm. The cultivator begins to understand and bend the fundamental laws of reality. They can shift between physical and energy states, and aging slows dramatically. They can create pocket dimensions and ignore certain laws entirely within their sphere of influence.
Realm 8: Celestial Ascension
The cultivator sheds mortal constraints, becoming more concept than person. They can assume multiple forms and exist independently of a physical body. They can survive in the vacuum of space, withstand nuclear-level attacks, and exist without sustenance.
Realm 9: Divine Sovereign
The cultivator becomes a law unto themselves. Reality reshapes according to their will. They are effectively immortal, capable of creating life or destroying worlds. Their true form is incomprehensible to mortals.
Realm 10: Transcendence
A theoretical stage beyond the system. No confirmed living examples exist, though the Vorn Patriarch claims to have met one. It represents leaving the known boundaries of existence entirely.
TECHNIQUE AND SKILL GRADING
Techniques determine the efficiency and application of power. A master with a low-grade technique can defeat a novice with a high-grade one, but the ceiling of a technique matters greatly at higher levels.
Mortal Grade
Basic techniques usable by the unawakened or those in the early Mana Gathering stage. Examples include basic sword forms, elementary meditation, and physical conditioning routines.
Earth Grade
Standard techniques for Core Formation cultivators. These include mana-enhanced strikes, basic elemental manipulation like fireballs or stone shields, and standard healing methods.
Heaven Grade
Advanced techniques for Foundation Establishment experts. These allow for area attacks, sustained transformations, and complex constructs.
Mystic Grade
Elite techniques requiring a Spirit Soul cultivation base. These attacks can affect the soul, manipulate space, or create pocket dimensions.
Divine Grade
Techniques reserved for Law Comprehension experts and above. They can warp reality, launch conceptual attacks, and cause permanent environmental changes.
Origin Grade
Techniques that touch the fundamental nature of existence, such as creating new laws or destroying concepts. True resurrection falls into this category.
Legendary Grade
Theoretical techniques from before the current age. Only found in ancient ruins, typically incomplete or forbidden.
Proficiency Levels
Every technique has mastery levels: Novice, Apprentice, Expert, Master, Grandmaster, and Perfection. Reaching Grandmaster or Perfection can elevate a technique's effective grade by one level.

WEAPON GRADING
Weapons serve as conduits for mana, enhancing a cultivator's combat ability. Higher-tier weapons develop sentience and can reject wielders they deem unworthy.
Mortal Grade
Standard weapons with no enhancement. Usable by anyone, they possess standard durability and no special properties.
Tier 5 Weapons
Possess minor mana conductivity and slightly enhanced durability. They channel mana ten percent more efficiently than mortal weapons.
Tier 4 Weapons
Offer moderate enhancement and may possess one minor property, such as being unbreakable or self-repairing. They channel mana twenty-five percent more efficiently.
Tier 3 Weapons
Significantly enhanced with one or two properties. They can develop a weapon spirit embryo and channel mana fifty percent more efficiently.
Tier 2 Weapons
High enhancement with multiple properties. The weapon spirit is awake, and the weapon can grow alongside its user. Mana channels one hundred percent more efficiently.
Tier 1 Weapons
Elite weapons that are semi-sentient. They can reject wielders and develop Intent. Usable by Spirit Soul cultivators and above.
Special Grade Weapons
Unique weapons, often ancient or custom-crafted. They possess abilities not found in standard weapons.
Artifact Grade
Legendary items that contain a sealed technique or soul. They have their own will and can influence their surroundings.
Semi-Divine Weapons
Weapons touched by divinity. They can kill concepts, sever souls, and exist across dimensions.
Divine Weapons
Weapons of gods, usable by Celestial Ascension cultivators. They can destroy or create on a planetary scale.
True God Weapons
Weapons of the creators. They can alter the fundamental laws of reality.
