Chapter 1 - CH1:The Clock That Didn't Tick

Aarav was a simple boy living in a small, quiet town.

Nothing unusual ever happened there. Every day felt the same—

same school, same road, same people.

But one evening, everything changed.

While returning home, Aarav noticed an old shop at the corner of the street.

He had passed that road many times before…

but he had never seen that shop.

The board was dusty and half-broken.

On it, faint letters were written—

"Time Repair Shop"

Aarav felt curious.

He slowly pushed the door open.

Creaaaak…

Inside, the shop was filled with clocks.

Big clocks, small clocks, wall clocks, pocket watches…

but something was strange—

None of them were ticking.

The whole place was silent.

Suddenly, a voice came from behind—

"Looking for time… or trying to escape it?"

Aarav turned back quickly.

An old man was sitting in the corner, watching him quietly.

Aarav hesitated, then asked,

"Why are all the clocks stopped?"

The old man smiled slightly.

"Because time doesn't always move forward… sometimes it waits."

Aarav didn't understand.

The old man stood up slowly and handed him a small, silver pocket watch.

"Take this," he said.

"But remember… every second you use is borrowed."

Aarav looked confused.

"Borrowed? From whom?"

The old man didn't answer.

He just said softly—

"You'll know… when it's too late."

Aarav left the shop, holding the watch tightly.

That night, as he placed it near his bed…

the watch suddenly started ticking.

Tick… Tick… Tick…

And at that exact moment—

Time stopped.
