This kind of pure love, in a country like America that adopts openness and freedom, where a girl is willing to be kept on the hook by you for two years and still loves you steadfastly, one has to say is truly a rare thing...

Peter, who had inexplicably been forced to eat a serving of dog food nearby, suddenly stuck his head between the two of them, looking at Ryan on the left and Gwen on the right with dead-fish eyes:

"Hey, guys, did you two notice that I still exist?"

"Besides, Dr. Connors' meet-and-greet is about to start, right? Can we go to the event first?"

"Once the event is over, you two don't have to worry about me. You can go do whatever you want, okay?"

Interrupted by Peter like this, Gwen finally calmed down a bit. Her face turned red as she quickly turned away to hide her embarrassment:

"Cough, cough, of course. Follow me, Dr. Connors should have arrived by now."

After saying that, Gwen walked forward again, her arms and legs moving in sync.

Peter scratched his head and asked curiously, "Why is Gwen walking so strangely? Is she feeling unwell?"

Seeing Peter, who was even more of a dense straight man than himself, Ryan shook his head and gave the back of Peter's head a flick with two fingers: "If you don't know how to talk, then don't. No one will mistake you for a mute."

After saying that, Ryan strode to Gwen's side, took her cold little hand, and led her forward.

Gwen stared blankly at the large hand holding hers. For a moment, her head, which had just calmed down, became dizzy again, and she lost track of where she was.

This time it wasn't her imagination; Ryan, that block of wood, really had his head drilled open by an electric drill!

Do I... have a boyfriend now?

"Gwen, Gwen? Miss Stacy? Won't you introduce these two to me?"

It wasn't until a calm voice sounded in her ear that Gwen snapped out of her daze.

Looking up, she realized that at some point, Ryan had already led her in front of Dr. Connors.

Aside from being a bit of a love brain when facing Ryan, Gwen actually had a very rational personality. Therefore, she immediately returned to her normal state and introduced to Dr. Connors:

"Dr. Connors, this is Peter, my classmate. His grades in Biology are even better than mine. He's my only competitor in school and an absolute genius!"

Hearing Gwen introduce him so highly, Peter reached out his right hand to Dr. Connors with a face full of embarrassment:

"No, no, Gwen is much smarter than me. She's the most talented peer I've ever met, besides my cousin!"

Dr. Connors pointed to his empty right sleeve with his left hand and shrugged: "Sorry, Peter, I'm afraid I can't shake your right hand. It hasn't grown back yet~"

"Oh, sorry, Dr. Connors, I didn't mean to..." Peter then remembered that Dr. Connors had lost his right arm on the battlefield for his country, and he couldn't help but look regretful.

He knew these things, but as soon as he saw his idol in person, he got nervous and forgot.

Dr. Connors smiled gently and shook his head to show it was fine.

Seeing that Dr. Connors didn't mind, Peter breathed a sigh of relief, while his curiosity suddenly piqued. He couldn't help but ask:

"Dr. Connors, what did you mean just now when you said your right arm hasn't grown back yet?"

Seeing Peter bring this up, Dr. Connors also became interested and explained:

"Because I have been studying the magical Self-healing limb cells of lizards. If they can be successfully transferred to humans, I think I can help thousands of soldiers who, like me, were wounded on the battlefield and lost a part of their bodies. At the same time, it would allow me to become 'whole' again..."

Then, Dr. Connors recalled Gwen's introduction of Peter as a student even more talented in Biology than her, and suddenly said:

"How about this? The interns should be arriving in a while. I'll take you to visit my lab first."

The reason Dr. Connors had hired Gwen, a student still in school, as an assistant was because his colleagues in society were stuck in fixed formulas and could no longer give him better innovative suggestions.

So he turned his gaze toward young geniuses, hoping that these young talents, who hadn't yet been trapped by conventional thinking, could give him some new ideas and suggestions.

And Gwen was a young genius he had met through Chief Stacy at a banquet.

Now that he had met a student even better than Gwen, Dr. Connors naturally felt a sense of appreciation for talent.

And Peter naturally agreed happily.

Being able to visit his idol's lab was a great honor for Peter!

However, before going to the lab, Dr. Connors looked at Ryan and asked with a smile:

"By the way, how should I address this gentleman?"

Gwen also knew that although Dr. Connors was kind, he actually had a bit of a scientist's pride. He usually didn't like those all-brawn-and-no-brains idiot jocks.

So, fearing that Dr. Connors might see Ryan's physique and mistakenly categorize him as one of those idiots, she hurriedly introduced:

"This is Ryan, Ryan Parker. He currently works at Fisk Enterprises. He was once our New York City's number one Genius Youth, graduating with honors from MIT at the age of 18!"

Hearing this, a flash of surprise and complexity crossed Dr. Connors' eyes, but he quickly suppressed it. He proactively extended his left hand to Ryan and smiled:

"Mr. Parker, I've heard of you. Your graduation once caused a sensation throughout New York. Basically every prominent company in New York invited you, a genius, to join them."

"Even Mr. Norman Osborn personally went to recruit you. It's just a pity you refused, otherwise, I'm afraid you would be my boss by now~"

Facing Dr. Connors' joke, Ryan shook his left hand and returned the smile:

"You flatter me. It's not that I'm such a genius, it's just that my peers at the time were too foolish. It's only thanks to their contrast that I gained a bit of empty fame back then."

"And in Biology, I am far behind you, Dr. Connors. I'm not very good at Biology myself, which is why I didn't choose to join Osborn Enterprises, which focuses on Biotechnology."

Facing the praise from the genius who was once famous in New York, Dr. Connors was quite pleased, and the smile on his face grew even wider:

"I'm old; now is the era of you young people. The future also belongs to you."

"By the way, I don't know what kind of work Mr. Parker is currently engaged in at Fisk Enterprises?"

Ryan shrugged and said bluntly: "Underground pest removal. I'm mainly responsible for clearing them out in New York, and occasionally I go to other cities to clean up, depending on where the client's target is."

Gwen's eyes widened upon hearing this, and she suddenly looked up at Ryan, her large eyes full of disbelief!
