Chapter 84 - Chapter 84: Moved Max!

Clearly, the person outside the door was Max, who had already turned into Electro!

But... he hadn't let Riot make a move yet!

What was going on?

Ryan opened the door with a look of confusion, intending to ask Max himself for the answer.

Looking him up and down to confirm he had indeed turned into Electro, Ryan asked knowingly, "Max, what happened to you... are you okay?"

Seeing that even though he had turned into this monstrous state that even his own mother wouldn't recognize, Ryan could still identify him immediately and care about his situation, Max was so moved he almost cried, his throat choking up for a moment.

"I... I..."

"It's okay, Max. No matter what happened to you, I'll help you. Come in first."

Saying that, Ryan reached out to pat Max's shoulder, wanting to soothe his frightened soul.

But seeing Ryan's action, Max instead jumped back like a startled rabbit, dodging Ryan's palm.

But immediately, Max saw Ryan's hand freeze in mid-air and felt guilty again, hurriedly explaining to Ryan:

"No, no, don't misunderstand, I don't mean I dislike you! It's just that you can't touch me right now. Because of an accident, I'm full of high-intensity bio-electricity, it will hurt you!"

Ryan saw that the clothes on Max were indeed tattered with scorched holes everywhere, but he didn't care at all and still placed his hand on Max's shoulder.

After his hand touched Max, blue currents indeed flashed across Ryan's palm, but they didn't cause Ryan any harm.

"Boss, you... you're okay?"

Amidst Max's shocked expression, Ryan took his hand off Max and waved it in front of him, smiling: "Of course I'm fine. I'm the Spider Monarch, just a little current, it can't hurt me..."

"And who says I don't know how to play with electricity?"

As he spoke, Ryan rubbed his palms together, and brilliant purple electricity suddenly danced upon them.

Riot, the Symbiote that had devoured the 'Lightning' ability, allowed Ryan to not only master bio-electricity but also become immune to most currents.

Ryan stepped aside from the doorway and invited Max again: "So come on, Max. Trust me, I'll help you solve the problem with your body."

Looking at Ryan, who seemed to be glowing in front of him, Max's eyes could no longer hold anything else!

Recognition, help, and the same electrical ability made Max feel that Ryan must be an Angel sent by God to redeem him!

Max nodded heavily: "Yeah, I trust you, Ryan!"

And Dr. Banner, who was also standing at the doorway and watched the whole scene, couldn't help but feel even more moved.

Since other superpowered individuals could choose to trust Ryan without reservation, maybe he could too?

With this thought, Dr. Banner ultimately didn't leave but chose to stay.

Half an hour later... after Max's narration, everyone finally understood why he had turned into this state.

The cause was that a couple of days ago, didn't Ryan hand over the job of replacing the tower's power system to the promoted Max?

So, in order not to fail Ryan's trust, while other demolition workers had finished work these past two days, Max was still voluntarily working overtime day and night to carry out the demolition.

Originally, tonight he had already finished the work of removing the electric eel power tanks ahead of schedule, and tomorrow they could switch to a large arc reactor to power Parker Building.

But just after Max finished the removal, while standing on the platform to take one last look at his former masterpiece, the entire building suddenly shook violently for some reason!

This caused Max to lose his footing and accidentally fall into a power tank containing Super Electric Eels, resulting in him being shocked unconscious by countless Super Electric Eels inside. When he finally woke up again, he had turned into this monstrous appearance.

After waking up and getting over the initial panic, Max immediately thought of Ryan.

Max knew that other ordinary people would definitely only treat him as a monster if they saw his monstrous appearance, so he could only place his last hope on Ryan, the leader of the Spider Family.

Therefore, after a simple disguise, he found his way to Ryan's old home.

Fortunately, Ryan wanted to recruit Dr. Banner and Dr. Samuel today, so he happened to be at his old home; otherwise, Max might have come for nothing.

If Max's appearance had been seen by others, leading to a Police report and a pursuit by the Police, the plot of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 might have happened again.

But fortunately, none of that happened.

And in the end, Max didn't bet wrong. Ryan was indeed someone worthy of his complete trust. After meeting, Ryan wasn't afraid of his appearance at all, even comforted him and offered to help!

This made Max's eyes moisten as he finished speaking.

But after the others finished listening, they fell into a collective silence.

Because they seemed to know why Max 'accidentally' fell into the eel tank during the 'vibration'... chronologically speaking, at the time Max finished removing the eel tank and was standing on the platform, it seemed to be the exact moment Ryan punched Abomination into the sky and then threw him into the ground... that heavy blow indeed caused tremors throughout New York... so... Max turning into Electro was actually because of Ryan?

This left Ryan himself somewhat speechless.

So this really wasn't intentional on his part; after all, his intentional plan hadn't even begun yet.

One could only say it was truly as if coincidence's grandmother had opened the door for coincidence—it was coincidence to the extreme!

Ryan didn't hide it from Max either but told him everything and expressed his apologies.

Max naturally didn't blame Ryan; after all, it was indeed a very coincidental accident, and Ryan was 'saving' New York at the time.

However, in the end, Ryan still comforted Max, telling him that this wasn't necessarily a bad thing, but rather might be a godsend!

A godsend opportunity that could allow Max to become the Superhero he had always dreamed of being!

As long as Max could master this godsend power.

And in this room right now, almost everyone was a hero with genetic mutations, so they were quite experienced in how to master mutated powers after their own transformations.

The group went to the Underground Room together and began to divide the work.

Dr. Banner and Dr. Samuel went to the Second basement level laboratory to help Max make a suit that could insulate electricity.

Meanwhile, the three brothers—Ryan, Peter, and Harry—trained Max's abilities, teaching him how to control his power and how to use it in battle.

In fact, from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home, it could be seen that Max was actually very talented with his own mutated electrical abilities.

In just a few days, he evolved from simple absorption and release of electricity to the complex level of turning himself into electricity, becoming an elemental form, and controlling the surrounding current for attacks!

Even in the end, in No Way Home, Max was able to return from his Smurf-like appearance to his original normal black-skinned appearance.

Although Ryan still felt that Max looked cooler with blue skin... in the original movies, Max had figured all this out on his own, so according to the timeline, it took him several days to master his abilities.

But now, with the help of so many superpowered individuals, especially the Spider Monarch Ryan who had Lightning abilities himself, Max naturally mastered his abilities much faster.

By the time the sky began to brighten the next day, Max had already mastered most of Electro's abilities, including turning himself back into a normal black-skinned person.

And because of the mutation, Max's image after returning to a normal human appearance had also changed greatly.

The greasy Max—who wore glasses, had a weak body, thinning hair, and a gap in his front teeth—had disappeared.

In his place was a handsome Max with bright eyes, a sturdy physique, thick hair, and straight teeth!
