Chapter 113 - Chapter 113: Ryan: Heimdall, I'm going to throw a handful of dust in your eyes!

"Secondly, His Majesty the All-Father believes that your descent upon Jotunheim and becoming the new King of the Frost Giants might be a good thing for Asgard, for Earth, and even for Jotunheim itself, as you can bring an opportunity for change to a Jotunheim that hasn't changed in ten thousand years."

"And the facts have proven that you have indeed done it. You have done everything a competent king should do, allowing the Frost Giant race to initially break away from their savage and primitive lifestyle, and cultivating a sufficiently excellent successor to help you manage Jotunheim within a month."

"Therefore, His Majesty the All-Father wishes to ask a favor of you: to help educate Thor and make him a competent monarch."

Ryan frowned upon hearing this: "Wait a minute, you even know about Sylvie's business? Are you staring at me 24 hours a day? Doesn't that mean..."

His act of friendly cross-species communication was completely seen by someone???

A rare expression of speechlessness appeared on Heimdall's face. He wondered why this guy's focus was so strange—was that the key point of what he just said?

But Heimdall still pointed to his eyes and said seriously, "Do you know why my eyes can see across the entire Universe, yet my vision has remained so good for thousands of years without being destroyed?"

"It's because I know what to look at and what not to look at. So relax, I haven't seen any of your private affairs, and as a Guardian, it's impossible for me to stare at you 24 hours a day..."

"Oh, I see..." Ryan nodded, throwing the handful of sand he had somehow been holding in his right hand onto the ground, instead of into Heimdall's eyes.

Seeing this, Heimdall let out a sigh of relief: "His Majesty the All-Father also said that he won't let you teach Thor for nothing. If you help educate Thor, he will grant you the ownership of the Tesseract, which is currently on Earth."

Ryan instantly developed a dead-fish eye look upon hearing this, raising the sand he was holding in his right hand: "You said you weren't constantly watching me, yet you know about me casually mentioning wanting the Tesseract!"

Odin above, how does this guy still hide his 'exclusive weapon' against me!

Heimdall quickly backed up two steps, staring warily at Ryan, and explained: "I really haven't! I just happened to notice when you were leaving Jotunheim, so I overheard your conversation with Sylvie and relayed it to His Majesty the All-Father!"

This time, Ryan chose not to throw the sand in his hand. Instead, he stared at Heimdall and sneered, "It better be as you say. But do I need you to grant me ownership of the Tesseract? Once I seize it, it will naturally be mine!"

"So you better give me a satisfactory answer again, or you might have to go wash your eyes!"

Hearing this, Heimdall's eyes lost focus for a few seconds, as if he was communicating with someone, before finally saying:

"His Majesty the All-Father says that Asgard can be your ally. Whether you are an Earthling or the King of the Frost Giants, Asgard will henceforth be your most steadfast ally."

Watching Heimdall's address shift from 'you' (you) to the respectful 'You' (you), Ryan knew that at this moment, he was truly being treated by Asgard as having status and power equal to Odin.

Therefore, Ryan curled his lips into a slight arc, looking down at Heimdall with the commanding posture of a king:

"Since you Asgardians intend to forge a friendship with me, the King of the Frost Giants, shouldn't the Frost Giant race's supreme treasure, the casket of ancient winters, which has been stored in Asgard, be returned to me, the King of the Frost Giants!"

Legend says the power of the casket of ancient winters is enough to freeze a Planet and cause an Ice Age. Ryan had no reason to let such a good thing slip by!

Upon hearing Ryan's words, Heimdall fell silent again, clearly communicating with Odin once more.

Ryan's mouth twitched: "Is something wrong with Odin? Why doesn't he come and talk to me himself?"

After a long time, Heimdall spoke again: "My apologies, His Majesty Odin is currently in the Odin Sleep and can only communicate with me through consciousness, which is why he hasn't personally come to receive You."

"But Allfather Odin just said that if You can truly educate Thor into a real monarch, the casket of ancient winters can be returned to You."

"However, You also need to guarantee that You will never use it against Asgard."

Hearing this, Ryan didn't hesitate for a moment, waving his hand: "Fine, I agree. I will never use the casket of ancient winters against Asgard. Hurry up and give it to me!"

When Odin dies, what does it matter if he doesn't use the casket of ancient winters?

With his own power, he can destroy Asgard just like he destroyed the Frost Giant race!

Heimdall revealed an awkward but polite smile: "His Majesty Odin said that payment can only be made after the goods have been inspected..."

Ryan:...After a moment of speechlessness, Ryan impatiently said, "You Asgardians really have no trust between people! (╯°Д°)╯︵ ┻━┻ I'm too lazy to argue with you anymore, just send me home first!"

Having been away from home for over a month, Ryan just wanted to go home now. Ben and May must be terribly worried.

When he left before, he thought he would be back soon, or at least be able to contact Earth quickly to report his safety.

He just hadn't expected that plans couldn't keep up with changes. He hadn't expected that the Frost Giant race not only lacked spaceships but didn't even have communication equipment, preventing him from contacting Earth at all.

Heimdall understood Ryan's eagerness to return to Earth, and he raised his hand, inviting the group into the Bifrost Bridge Control Center.

Standing on the Bifrost Bridge's teleportation platform, Ryan looked at Valkyrie and Horse-Face Man: "What are your plans? Do you want to return to Earth with me, or choose to stay in Asgard?"

The reason he brought these two out of Sakaar was simply because they were relatively important characters in the Marvel Universe, so he wanted to do them a favor. Perhaps they would be useful sometime in the future.

An extra friend means an extra path!

As for whether they would return to Earth with him, Ryan didn't intend to force the issue.

Upon hearing this, Valkyrie didn't hesitate at all. She immediately stood on the teleportation platform, indicating she wanted to return to Earth with Ryan.

She had already died once for Odin's family. Since the annihilation of the Valkyrie Corps, she had no relationship with Asgard anymore!

Horse-Face Man did not choose to stand on the teleportation platform, but instead looked at Ryan with apologetic eyes:

"Thank you very much for saving me, but I still wish to stay in Asgard. Surtur the Fire Giant once destroyed my Planet, and Asgard once defeated Surtur, so I want to stay in Asgard to learn the method of defeating the Fire Giant and seek revenge against Him!"

In response, Ryan nodded to him, respecting Horse-Face Man's choice.

After everyone had made their choices, Heimdall inserted the divine sword that activates the Bifrost Bridge into the controller, opening the Bifrost Bridge.

Just as the seven-colored light covered Ryan, preparing to teleport him away, Ryan suddenly shouted to Heimdall: "Hey, Heimdall, look over here, I have a surprise!"

Hearing his name called, Heimdall instinctively looked over, only to see a patch of yellow sand being thrown toward him!

"Aaaahhhhh!!!!"

"Hahahahaha!!!!"

"Hahaha, well done, Number 666, I like you a little bit now!"

Amidst Heimdall's cries of pain as he covered his eyes, Ryan and Valkyrie burst into laughter, and were teleported back to Earth by the Bifrost Bridge amid their joyous sounds.
