Chapter 273 - Chapter 273: The Four-Person Playhouse Group, and the Mysterious Man in the Dark!

"Let go of Riri, let her go right now, you villain!"

Just as Ryan was surprised that this second-generation Ironheart had actually developed an inhibitor for the zombie virus, the other two nearby were clearly dissatisfied with his rough actions, pushing against him in an attempt to make him put down the Ironheart he was dangling.

However, with their meager strength, it would be a miracle if they could actually move him.

Ultimately, Ryan let go of Ironheart, casually tossing her onto the ground.

Ryan looked at this girl whom he had previously considered worthless, his eyes narrowing slightly as a smile played across his lips:

"Congratulations. I've decided to give you a chance to live. As long as you follow me and serve me, you'll have my protection. Do you accept?"

Hearing this, it would be a lie to say the three of them weren't tempted.

After all, they had seen exactly how powerful this guy was just moments ago!

Even the god-like Captain Marvel and that inorganic Superman were dealt with by him without even being able to put up a decent fight!

But the three of them seemed a bit conflicted; clearly, they had their own objectives.

Finally, it was Kate, whom Ryan had saved earlier, who stepped forward and said to Ryan:

"Um... Sir, we actually have no problem following you and are willing to work for you. After all, having the protection of someone as strong as you in this apocalypse is actually a very lucky thing for us..."

"But we actually have a very important task to complete on this trip. Can you help us achieve this goal first?"

Ryan glanced at Kate, feeling somewhat curious: "Tell me first, what is it exactly?"

In his view, what kind of 'big deal' could three little kids have?

Hearing this, Kate exchanged looks with the other two. After a silent exchange, they all decided that Ryan was a reliable adult and nodded.

Ironheart placed two fingers to her lips and blew a sharp whistle.

The next second, the Friday nano-armor that Ironheart had deliberately arranged as their backup flew over from the distance.

Ironheart reached out, and the Friday-controlled nano-armor produced a miniature signal transmitter.

Ironheart took the signal transmitter and explained to Ryan: "We got this from a crashed S.H.I.E.L.D. Quinjet a while ago. It's an interstellar signal transmitter shrunken by Pym Particles. According to the incomplete information we decrypted, this is S.H.I.E.L.D.'s countermeasure for the apocalyptic zombie virus..."

Kate took over, continuing: "Exactly, but our technical resources are limited and we can't fully decrypt the contents of the transmitter. So we plan to take it to a S.H.I.E.L.D. Base for full decryption, but all the S.H.I.E.L.D. Bases have fallen in the years since the zombie virus broke out..."

Kamala finished with a beaming smile: "Fortunately, Ironheart received a S.H.I.E.L.D. signal from Ohio recently, so we embarked on this journey to save humanity!"

After hearing the three of them out, Ryan's expression became somewhat surprised: "I didn't expect you three kids to be so noble..."

This wasn't sarcasm, nor was it a lie; Ryan truly thought so.

After all, in the movies, whether it was Ironheart's selfishness or Kamala's childishness, they had left him with a very bad first impression of being unreliable.

That was also why he had only saved Kate earlier and hadn't saved Ironheart despite clearly seeing her being approached by zombies.

But looking at it now, after a few years of the zombie apocalypse, these three girls weren't so selfish and childish anymore.

At least, they had reached a level where he felt they had utility value.

Seeing Ryan call them noble, Kate and the others all looked at Ryan with anticipation:

"So, reliable sir, are you willing to join us and complete this mission to save humanity together?"

Looking at the three of them, Ryan inexplicably felt like he was being invited to play a game of house by children.

However, since he happened to be bored, accompanying them on an apocalyptic road trip seemed quite nice.

Conveniently, he also wanted to know what solution S.H.I.E.L.D. had for this zombie crisis.

If it was actually feasible, he could take the method back to his own Universe to implement.

A slight curve slowly formed on Ryan's expressionless face: "Of course. How does the saying go? Oh, right, for humanity, it's my duty, isn't it?"

"But I need to correct you on one thing. From now on, you are the ones joining me, and I am the Captain of this team."

Hearing this, the three of them immediately broke into happy smiles.

"Yay!"

"Long live the Captain!"

"We finally survived~"

With Ryan joining them, they were now full of confidence regarding this journey!

Perhaps this was the unique sense of security that only a reliable adult could provide!

"By the way, Captain, we still don't know your name?"

"Captain, I think we need to find another vehicle. Riri's car was just blown up..."

"Captain, I think I can have Friday fly around to see if there are any relatively intact vehicles. As long as they aren't completely broken, I should be able to fix them!"

Listening to the chattering in his ears, Ryan felt like he, having come to another Universe, was dreaming back to the Spider Family.

The various Little Spiders of the Spider Family usually chattered around him, the Big Spider, like this during meetings.

"My name is Ryan Parker. You can call me Ryan or Mr. Parker. As for transportation, there's no need to look; I'll take you directly to Ohio. But before that..."

As Ryan finished, he looked behind him, the light in his eyes turning cold:

"You Night Elf hiding over there, if you don't come out now, I'll blow up your hiding spot along with you. Do you believe me?"

Hearing Ryan's words, Kate and the other two instantly became alert, pointing their respective weapons in the direction of Ryan's gaze.

It was a patch of ruins shrouded in the night.

Under their gaze, a dark figure slowly stood up from the debris, then opened a pair of eyes emitting a cold white light.

Seeing this, Kamala, the most timid, couldn't help but take a step back, shielding herself behind Ryan as she asked fearfully:

"It's not another super zombie, is it? My legs shake just looking at guys with glowing eyes now, what do I do..."

Although Kate and Ironheart didn't retreat like Kamala, it was clear from their tense expressions that they were thinking the same thing.

They were psychologically scarred from it...

After all, just minutes ago, they had almost died in the battle between two super zombies who also had glowing eyes.

However, as Ryan looked at those white glowing eyes in the darkness, his expression became peculiar.

While they might not be able to see the person's true appearance in the dark, with his super vision that ignored darkness, he could naturally see everything clearly.

A moment later, the figure in the dark stepped out of the ruins of its own accord, exposing itself to the moonlight and allowing Kate's trio to see the newcomer's appearance.

White robes, white armor, white blades, even a white crescent moon on the chest, and the iconic white bandages wrapped around the face—this was clearly the attire of Moon Knight!

But... unlike the face of the Moon Knight in common memory, although this Moon Knight was also dressed entirely in white, he was not same because under mask was Blade!

He was... Moon Blade!
