Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: The Storm of the Beginning and the End

The air in Loguetown didn't just smell of rain anymore; it smelled of ozone and ancient secrets. Standing in that narrow alley, face-to-face with Nico Robin, I felt the Void within me pulsing like a second heart. It wasn't just hungry; it was recognizing a kindred spirit—someone else who lived in the cracks of history.

"A debt?" Robin whispered, her fingers tracing the brim of her cowboy hat. "The Void Century is a void for a reason, little shadow. To fill it is to invite the wrath of the world."

"Let them come," I replied, my purple eyes glowing beneath the hood. "The World Government fears what they cannot erase. But I am erasure."

[System Notification: Influence Point Gained!] [Nico Robin is 'Intrigued'. Relationship Level: Neutral -> Acquaintance.]

Suddenly, a roar echoed from the main plaza, shaking the very foundations of the buildings around us. It was a voice filled with pure, unadulterated idiety and courage.

"I'M THE MAN WHO'S GONNA BE KING OF THE PIRATES!"

Luffy. He was on the platform.

"The boy in the straw hat," Robin murmured, her gaze shifting toward the plaza. "He certainly has a flair for the dramatic. But Buggy the Clown isn't known for mercy. In five minutes, that boy's head will roll."

"No," I said, stepping past her. "The world isn't done with him yet. And the System... it wants a sacrifice."

[Urgent Quest: The Lightning Thief] [Objective: Intercept the 'Heavenly Bolt' and absorb 30% of its energy.] [Reward: 500 EXP, Void Energy Capacity +100, Skill: 'Void Discharge'.] [Failure: Permanent Soul Damage.]

I didn't wait for her response. I activated [Void-Shift], my body flickering through the shadows of the alleyways. I appeared on a balcony overlooking the execution plaza.

The scene was chaotic. Buggy was cackling, his sword raised high. Luffy was locked in the wooden stocks, grinning like a fool even as death stared him in the face. Zoro and Sanji were fighting their way through the crowd, desperate to reach their captain.

And then, I felt it. A pressure so heavy it made my knees buckle.

High above, on the roof of the tallest tower, stood a man in a deep green cloak. His face was marked by red tattoos, and his eyes held the weight of a revolution. Monkey D. Dragon.

The sky turned blacker than my own energy. A massive swirling vortex of clouds formed directly above the execution platform.

"Now," I whispered.

[Activating 'Void Compression' - Maximum Output!]

I didn't run toward the platform. I ran toward the highest spire of the clock tower. As the lightning began to gather in the heavens, a blinding white light that threatened to split the world in two, I leaped into the air.

"STAY BACK!" Zoro yelled from below, seeing a black silhouette flying toward the platform.

BOOM!

The lightning struck. A pillar of divine white energy slammed down from the sky. It was meant to hit the platform, to save the future Pirate King. But as it descended, a black hole opened in mid-air.

I intercepted the bolt.

The pain was unlike anything I had ever imagined. It felt like my veins were being filled with liquid sun. Every cell in my body screamed as the raw electricity of the storm collided with the absolute nothingness of the Void.

"ARGHHHHH!" I screamed, my voice echoing through the plaza like a dying god.

[System: Absorbing External Energy...] [3%... 12%... 25%...] [Warning: Void Core Overloading! Releasing Excess Pressure!]

The excess energy didn't just vanish. It exploded out of my back in the form of purple lightning wings. For a split second, the entire population of Loguetown saw me—a dark angel suspended in the heart of a lightning storm.

Buggy's sword shattered. The execution platform collapsed into splinters. Luffy fell to the ground, untouched and laughing.

But I was falling too. My cloak was charred, and my skin was smoking.

I hit a tiled roof with a bone-shattering thud. My vision was swimming in static.

[Quest Successful!] [Level Up! Level 4 -> Level 6!] [New Skill Unlocked: 'Void Discharge' (AoE Paralysis)] [Void Energy Capacity: 250/250]

"That was... incredibly reckless."

I looked up. Robin was standing over me again. She had followed me through the chaos. Her eyes weren't just intrigued anymore; they were wide with shock. She had seen me eat a lightning bolt.

"Did... did the boy survive?" I wheezed, blood leaking from the corner of my mouth.

"He's running toward the docks with his crew," she said, offering a hand. "The Marines are paralyzed with fear. They think a demon descended from the sky."

I took her hand, feeling the warmth of a human touch against my cold, vibrating skin. As I stood up, I saw Smoker in the distance, his face pale, staring at the roof where I had fallen.

"We have to go," I said. "The storm is moving, and so must I."

"Where?" Robin asked.

"To the Grand Line," I replied, looking toward the horizon where the Going Merry was already a small speck against the crashing waves. "The world is about to get very loud, Robin. I need to make sure the Void stays quiet enough to hear the end."

I turned to the system.

[Notification: You have gained the attention of 'The Revolutionary' Monkey D. Dragon.] [Current Bounty Evaluation: Pending...]

I smirked. A bounty already? This was getting interesting.

"I'll see you in Alabasta, Miss All Sunday," I said, stepping off the ledge and disappearing into a cloud of purple mist.

I reached the docks just as the final Marine blockades were being smashed by the Straw Hats. I didn't join them on their ship. I didn't need to. In the shadows of the harbor, a small, sleek black sloop was waiting for me—a gift from the System for reaching Level 5.

[New Vessel: 'The Silence']

I stepped onto the deck, the wood feeling like an extension of my own body. I looked back at Loguetown one last time. The city of the beginning and the end had just given birth to its most dangerous inhabitant.

"Set sail," I commanded.

The black sails caught a wind that didn't exist for anyone else. While the Straw Hats climbed the Reverse Mountain in a storm of joy, I followed them in a storm of silence.

The Grand Line was waiting. And I was hungry for the throne.
