One afternoon, Jack was watching a TV show with great interest while eating popcorn with a relaxed expression.
Suddenly, a panicked shout came from the bedroom. When Jack heard the shout, he came to his senses immediately. He muttered under his breath,
"It was Emily's voice."
He thought something had happened to Emily and immediately ran fast towards the place where the shout came from. He opened the bedroom door with full force.
Only to see Emily sitting there on the bed with a tense expression on her face, holding something close to her chest.
Seeing her like this, Jack asked,
"What happened to you? Why are you shouting like this? You nearly gave me a heart attack with that shout."
Emily looked at Jack. She didn't know how to explain the matters running inside her mind now. There was a big hesitation inside her mind, how would he react to this matter if it was revealed? So she stayed silent without replying to him.
