Chapter 88 - Chapter 88: Losing the Bet

Riley blinked. "Isn't this supposed to be random?"

Victor was speechless.

So she really doesn't know what she's doing.

It had to be luck.

Gritting his teeth, he said, "Low!"

He'd just rolled low earlier, and Riley had barely shaken the cup—there was no way the pattern had changed much.

But when the cup was lifted—

Six dice.

All showing six.

Victor froze.

"How is that possible? Didn't you just shake it randomly?"

Riley nodded earnestly. "Yeah, I did."

He'd lost again.

And now—

They were completely out of money.

Riley smiled faintly. "Since there's no more cash for this round, how about we switch things up? You can start taking off your clothes. One piece per loss."

She tilted her head, amused.

"You're going to run naked anyway, right? Think of it as a warm-up. Might help with the embarrassment later."

At the mention of someone going naked, the surrounding crowd lit up instantly.

Victor's face flushed deep red.

"You think I'm scared of you?" he snapped. "It's still too early to tell who will win or lose.!"

With forced bravado, he yanked off his jacket and shirt, leaving only a thin tank top.

For some reason—

Even with the air conditioning blasting, he felt cold.

Especially when he looked at Riley.

That calm smile on her face made the chill crawl deeper into his bones.

Riley picked up the cup again and shook it slowly.

The crisp rattle of dice echoed—

Each sound tapping against the nerves of everyone watching.

At first, Victor focused.

Listened.

Counted.

But toward the end—

His mind drifted.

Wait… what was that last sound?

Did it stack? Did it flip?

No—

Was that…

Damn it—

I didn't catch it.

Click.

The cup landed.

Riley lifted her chin slightly. "Your guess?"

Victor's heart dropped.

I didn't hear it clearly.

Not this time.

He clenched his jaw. "Low!"

The cup opened—

Six dice.

All sixes.

Again.

Victor snapped.

"Damn it!"

He tore off his tank top and hurled it to the ground.

"I don't believe this—again!"

Riley only smiled.

She picked up the cup once more.

Shook.

Stopped.

"Go ahead."

This time—

Sweat broke out across Victor's forehead.

His palms were slick.

He couldn't hear anything anymore.

The sounds had blurred into meaningless noise.

One minute.

Two minutes.

Five.

He still didn't dare speak.

If I lose again…

It's the pants.

I can't—

"Guess it!" someone from the crowd urged.

"Come on!"

"Don't stall!"

Victor's fists clenched.

His bare upper body prickled with goosebumps.

He forced the words out.

"High. This time, it's definitely high!"

Riley suddenly let out a soft laugh.

That single sound—

Sent a jolt through him.

The cup lifted.

Six dice.

Stacked.

All showing one.

Low.

Victor's pupils shrank.

That—

That was my signature move.

How—

How did she—

How did this fool replicate it perfectly?

Riley leaned back slightly, lips curling.

"Your turn," she said lightly. "Take it off."

Victor's face drained of all color.

His legs gave out.

He collapsed straight down beside the chair.

I'm finished.

How did I lose?

How did I lose to a fool?

Only his pants remained.

There was no way—

No way he could take them off.

Evan and the others were stunned.

Victor—the one who always dominated games like this—

Had been completely crushed.

Not even a fight.

A total wipeout.

Sophia's face turned pale, her mind racing for a solution.

Felicia hadn't expected this outcome either.

She had been waiting to watch Riley humiliate herself—

But instead, Victor was the one on the brink.

Useless trash.

Suppressing her irritation, Felicia stepped forward softly.

"Riley… let it go," she said gently. "It's just a game. Victor can admit defeat."
