Chapter 1 - Prologue - To you in my dreams

I remember when you asked me to find you, it was the first time we meet. I also remember that I promised you I'll do it, but, sadly, I always forget the promise and your face when I wake up.

I was trying to not sleep. Today I wasn't in the mood to dream with that girl. Unlucky for me I couldn't stay awake and as soon as I closed my eyes I appeared in the place I'm so familiar with. It was a beach, a black sand beach with a white sea. The sky was white too and flowers were all over the place, flowers with unusual colors, with black or white calyxes. I stopped a moment and saw the sand, actually I didn't wanted to step forward, I still did it though. I saw the rotten buildings which were floating in the sky helded by threads, they always been like that. I moved a little more and there I saw her; a girl with pale skin with snow-like hair, her hair was so long it almost reached her feet. She was dressing her characteristic white dress which irradiated plainness. Her hands were on her back holding each other, they were shaking.

—Are you okay? —I asked

She stayed quiet and seemed to be about to show her face

—I'm… —she let her head down. Her voice seemed sad

—I'm… —she just shaked her head

I put my head down trying to find out the correct words

—Wanna… talk?

Her breathing turned heavy. She turned her head abruptly against me.

—I'm..! —tears rained down her cheeks, then she relaxed her body and returned her arms behind her back —. I'm sorry Yer —she sobbed and tears fell at her feet.

—Why?

—Cause I'm the one who enlightened you —she sounded serious this time

—The one who illuminated me? What are you on about? —there was no answer

The girl looked directly at the sky and putted her hands like she was praying.

—Don't use the threads, Yer

—What threads?

Of her hands a centenary of threads were shot against the floating buildings. Loud noises were heard. The buildings were falling.

—The heck are you doing!?

—I'm not sure yet. I'll solve it though —she answered anxious

While looking at the falling buildings I wanted to run against her to prevent a building from crushing her. My legs didn't seemed to answer

—Farewell, Yer. —she sweetly said goodbye moments before a building fell right to her head.

My ringtone sounded and I woke up while sobbing

—Serah! —that was her name

—Serah… —the sobbing went heavier and I hugged my pillow.
