Chapter 51 - Chapter 52: The World After the Crack

Humanity did not sleep that night.

Every news channel across the planet replayed the same footage repeatedly: the fractured sky above Seoul, the floating silver structure descending into reality, and the enormous black hand forcing itself through the dimensional boundary before vanishing moments later.

Governments tried suppressing the recordings.

They failed.

There were too many witnesses.

Too many cameras.

Too many hunters who felt the pressure personally.

For the first time since the Dungeon Break era began, ordinary civilians finally understood something terrifying:

The gates were not the real threat.

And somewhere deep beneath Seoul, inside the World Hunter Association headquarters, silence dominated the emergency conference chamber.

Dozens of monitors displayed worldwide dimensional fluctuation patterns while high-ranking officials from multiple nations appeared through holographic communication screens surrounding the room.

No one looked calm.

Director Han Minji stood near the center table with arms folded quietly as the discussion escalated around her.

"…We should classify the elf as hostile immediately."

"…Based on what? He never attacked civilians."

"An unknown entity entered Earth's atmosphere from another dimension!"

"And yet your hunters survived because he stabilized the fracture!"

The argument continued endlessly.

Fear.

Confusion.

Politics.

Exactly what Han expected.

One elderly man appearing through a European broadcast screen finally spoke sharply.

"Director Han."

Her gaze lifted.

"You were closest to the incident. What is your assessment?"

The room became silent immediately.

Han remained quiet for several seconds before answering.

"…The entity known as Eryndor is dangerous."

Several officials nodded instantly.

Then she continued.

"…But he is not currently our enemy."

That answer caused immediate backlash.

"You cannot seriously trust a dimensional being—"

"I trust results," Han interrupted calmly.

Silence returned.

Her cold blue eyes scanned the room.

"If Eryndor intended to destroy Seoul, none of us would be alive right now."

No one argued against that.

Because deep down—

everyone knew she was right.

Han turned slightly toward another display showing footage of the giant armored hand breaching the sky above Seoul.

The pressure recorded during that moment had exceeded every known S-Rank signature in human history.

By an overwhelming margin.

"…The real issue," Han said quietly, "…is whatever tried to enter after him."

The conference room became silent again.

Because nobody had an answer for that.

Meanwhile, across Seoul, Suho sat alone inside his apartment while rain continued falling softly outside the windows.

The television remained muted nearby, displaying endless emergency broadcasts discussing dimensional instability and unidentified world phenomena.

He ignored all of it.

His focus remained entirely on the system window floating before him.

[Main Event Confirmed]

[The Resonance Saga: Active]

[Trait Evolution Candidate: All-Master]

[Legacy Trial Requirement: Pending]

The notifications hadn't disappeared since yesterday.

And more importantly—

the system felt different now.

Awake.

The interface moved more smoothly than before, almost reacting to his thoughts directly instead of waiting for commands.

That honestly unsettled him.

GAIA's words replayed repeatedly inside his mind.

> "The system selected you itself."

Not GAIA.

Not coincidence.

The system.

Suho leaned back slowly against the chair, eyes narrowing slightly.

"…What are you?"

The interface flickered faintly.

Then—

for the first time—

it responded.

Not through notifications.

Through text.

A single line appeared beneath the interface.

[You Are Not Authorized For That Information]

Suho froze.

Then slowly sat upright.

"…You can answer directly now?"

Silence.

The line disappeared instantly.

Suho stared at the empty interface for several seconds before exhaling quietly.

"…Great."

That was definitely not concerning at all.

A knock suddenly interrupted the silence.

Three knocks.

Light.

Controlled.

Suho immediately recognized the mana signature approaching before even opening the door.

Sera.

The moment he opened it, she stepped inside carrying multiple convenience-store bags while looking visibly exhausted.

"You're alive. Good."

"…That's your greeting?"

"You disappeared right after the sky almost exploded."

Fair point.

Sera dropped the bags onto the table before collapsing onto the couch with a deep sigh.

Her expression looked far more serious than usual.

"…The entire city's panicking."

"I noticed."

"No, I mean really panicking."

She pointed toward the muted television.

"Half the guilds are mobilizing emergency forces, the Association's sealing several districts, and social media's losing its mind over dimensional invaders."

Suho glanced briefly toward the screen showing emergency evacuation drills being established across Seoul.

"…Makes sense."

Sera stared at him.

"…You're way too calm lately."

He didn't answer immediately.

Because honestly—

he wasn't calm.

He was thinking.

About GAIA.

About the Outer Thrones.

About the fact that Earth had essentially become visible to cosmic horrors beyond dimensional reality.

Normal anxiety felt kind of small compared to that.

Sera watched him quietly for a moment before speaking again.

"…You saw something yesterday, didn't you?"

Suho's gaze shifted toward her slowly.

"…Why do you think that?"

"Because your eyes changed."

That answer caught him slightly off guard.

Sera leaned forward, elbows resting against her knees.

"You've had that expression ever since the dimensional crack closed."

A pause.

"…Like someone showed you the end of the world."

Silence filled the apartment briefly.

Then Suho smiled faintly.

"…Pretty close actually."

Sera blinked.

"…Wait, you're serious?"

Before he could answer, the system activated suddenly.

Violently.

[Emergency Notice]

[Global Dimensional Resonance Detected]

Both Suho and Sera froze instantly.

Then every electronic device inside the apartment shut off simultaneously.

The lights flickered.

The air became heavy.

And somewhere outside—

a bell rang.

Deep.

Ancient.

The sound echoed across the entire city.

Both of them rushed toward the balcony immediately.

Then stopped.

Because the sky above Seoul had changed again.

Massive glowing circles covered the clouds overhead, ancient runes spreading across the atmosphere like giant magic formations stretching beyond the horizon itself.

The entire city stared upward in shock.

Then—

the system updated.

[Realm Synchronization Beginning]

[First Resonance Zone Stabilizing]

[Realm Connected: Elfaine]

The air split open above the Han River.

And an enormous silver tree began emerging into Earth's reality.
