Tempest didn't know what to say.
She'd stood near the stairs while Dron addressed the people on the deck, listening to every word that came out of his mouth. Some of what he'd said made perfect sense. They couldn't abandon everything they'd fought for simply because the journey had become difficult. The High Royals weren't going to forget about them, and there was no reason to believe they'd suddenly decide to leave everyone alone.
But there was something about the way Dron had delivered his speech that bothered her.
It wasn't what he'd said about the war. It wasn't even the fact that he'd refused to apologize for what happened to Gushex. She'd already known he wasn't going to do that.
It was the way he'd stood in front of everyone and demanded that they either follow him or leave.
