Chapter 33 - Chapter: When the Sky Turned Crimson

Beneath the sky of Mount Fuji… the blue was gone.

It had turned a deep, violent crimson, clouds spiraling like a hellish vortex above the peak. The air grew भारी—suffocating… as if the world itself was holding its breath.

Then—

the earth split open.

A colossal being rose from the depths, its body like blackened stone, its eyes glowing like embers. It opened its mouth and unleashed a roar that shook the mountains and rode the winds across distant lands.

"Human world…"

Its voice ground like stone against stone.

"It has been ages since we tasted this foul air… I feel a hunger gnawing at my very existence."

Miles away, a village celebrated.

Lanterns glowed, laughter filled the air, music echoed through the streets. No one noticed the crimson sky creeping above them.

When the creature descended, the ground trembled… yet the villagers applauded, mistaking it for a performance.

It smiled.

"A feast… welcoming me with applause."

In a single motion—it snatched a little girl from the crowd.

One second—

Her body fell… without a head.

The applause turned into screams.

From the crimson sky, demons rained down like black hail—

claws tearing, fangs devouring, blood flooding the ground.

Within minutes… the village was erased from existence.

In a dark chamber

The leader of the organization knelt before a man cloaked in shadow.

"Well done… traitorous sorcerer. The new world order shall now begin… my lord, Amarik."

The man reached for his face.

He tore off the mask—skin ripping with it—revealing a grotesque demonic form, black wings unfurling behind him, eyes like endless voids.

"I have grown weary… of this filthy human shell."

A cold smile formed.

"Now… the truth begins."

Rome – The National Museum

Silence filled the vast hall. Marble floors gleamed, towering columns stood unshaken, and the glass ceiling reflected the crimson moonlight.

At the center—

the Spear of the Gods pulsed with a golden aura.

Maximilian didn't hesitate. He lunged—

A violent surge of energy hurled him back.

"What the hell was that?!"

Alfred studied the ancient inscriptions.

"It is a sovereign barrier… 'None shall wield me but one of pure soul, descended of the gods.'"

Violet stepped forward—only to be thrown back as well.

They exchanged a look.

"Together."

They grasped the spear—

And the shadows erupted.

The Hunter emerged.

Black armor swallowing light, a blade gleaming coldly in his hand. Behind him, the ground cracked open as twisted beings crawled forth—mutants with glowing red eyes.

"Romeo… and Juliet," he said with contempt.

"I'll end your pathetic story here."

"He's yours!" Violet shouted.

Maximilian grinned and charged. Their blades collided, sparks exploding as the glass above fractured.

On the other side, Violet moved like a lethal shadow, cutting through the mutants with ruthless precision.

One fell—then another—

But they rose again.

Flesh stitched itself back together. Eyes burned brighter.

"They won't die…!"

She stepped back, observing—then saw them.

Black threads… extending from their bodies… leading to the Hunter.

"Max!" she shouted.

"He's the source! Kill him!"

Maximilian fought relentlessly, striking without hesitation—but the Hunter remained calm… watching.

Then he raised a finger.

The threads tightened.

Maximilian froze—dark strands pierced his body, binding him in place.

The Hunter approached slowly.

"You… are nothing but a tool."

He raised his blade—

"Don't touch him!"

Violet launched forward, her speed tearing through the air, her blade igniting with dark energy.

The Hunter turned—caught her wrist effortlessly.

She stopped.

He smiled.

An explosion erupted.

The glass ceiling shattered, shards raining down like lethal stars. Columns cracked. The ground trembled.

The museum… was collapsing.

Behind them, Jeremiah struggled with the spear.

"It won't move!"

Alfred remained focused.

"It is testing us…!"

Amid the chaos—

Maximilian smiled through the blood.

Forcing his body against the tearing threads, he surged forward.

He grabbed the Hunter by the armor.

"If I'm going down…"

He locked eyes with him.

"You're coming with me."

Violet understood.

She ran—faster than ever—her blade flashing—

And struck.

The threads trembled.

The mutants froze.

Silence fell—

But the Hunter… did not.

He smiled, darker than before.

"Too late."

Far away… beneath the crimson sky…

Amarik opened his eyes fully.
