I stood frozen before the mirror, my pulse now beginning to settle. Though my skin had not yet forgotten the ghost of his touch.
I could still feel every point of contact, and I hated how it lingered.
"You minx. I'll have your time tomorrow."
What had he meant by that?
I hoped he meant to only ask me questions about Strome. I had to find a way to send Becca and Edna on some errand tomorrow so Becca wouldn't be here for him to use her against me.
If I sent Becca alone, he would be aware of what I was doing. So it would be best to send the both of them out.
