Michael and Emma were sitting comfortably in Michael's living room, sipping coffee.
Emma was practically bouncing on the sofa with excitement, holding her phone tightly.
"I just got the script for Wednesday Season 2," Emma squealed, her eyes wide.
"Michael, it is so good! You won't believe what happens. In the very first episode, Wednesday and Enid go to this creepy old mansion, and then suddenly-"
"Stop!" Michael yelled, dropping his cup and quickly covering both of his ears with his hands. "No spoilers! Don't ruin it for me!"
Emma laughed loudly, trying to pull his hands away. "But I have to tell someone! It is so crazy! There is a new monster, and my werewolf character-"
"La la la la, I can't hear you!" Michael sang loudly, closing his eyes tightly. "I want to watch the show like a normal person, Emma! Keep your Hollywood secrets to yourself!"
Emma gave up and fell back against the sofa, giggling uncontrollably. "Fine, fine! I won't tell you who dies. But I will say that the outfits are amazing, and the story is so much darker this time. I have so many cool action scenes."
Michael finally uncovered his ears, smiling at her excitement. "I can't wait to see it. You are going to be brilliant, as always."
He looked at the clock. "Come on, let me drive you back home."
Michael grabbed his car keys and stood up.
Just as he was about to open the front door, his phone started ringing loudly in his pocket.
He pulled it out and saw it was Evans.
Michael answered it. "Hey, Evans-"
"BABY! NOW! HOSPITAL!" Evans screamed through the phone so loudly that Emma could hear it from a few feet away.
Evans sounded like he was having a complete panic attack. "SHE IS COMING!"
Michael stood frozen. "Wait, what? Isn't the baby supposed to come after this week?"
"JUST COME HERE, YOU ASSHOLE!" Evans shrieked. "THE WATER BROKE!"

Evans hung up.
Michael stared at his phone, blinking.
He looked up at Emma in a rush. "Evans is having his baby. Right now."
"I am coming with you," Emma said instantly, grabbing her jacket.
"Okay, let's go!"
Michael and Emma ran out of the front door.
Michael lived right next to his parents, so instead of calling them, he just cupped his hands around his mouth and screamed at the top of his lungs toward their house.
"MOM! DAD! EVANS IS HAVING THE BABY!"
Instantly, the lights in his parents' house flicked on.
The front door burst open, and Janet and Terry came running out in a total panic.
Terry was wearing mismatching slippers, and Janet was carrying a random spatula she forgot to put down.
"Start the car! Run!" Terry yelled, waving his arms wildly.
They all sprinted into Michael's large garage and piled into his SUV.
Michael started the engine and reversed quickly.
As they zoomed out into the street, Janet looked at the seats to check on everyone.
She saw Emma sitting next to Michael in the front passenger seat.
Janet stopped panicking for a second and smiled sweetly.
"Oh! Hello, Emma dear!" Janet said warmly.
Then she looked at Michael with a teasing smirk. "Are you two finally going on a date? It's about time-"
"Mom!" Michael groaned loudly, gripping the steering wheel. "This is not the time! Evans is losing his mind at the hospital!"
"Right, right! Drive faster, son!" Terry commanded from the back.
When they finally ran into the hospital maternity ward, it was a mess.
Evans was pacing around in tight circles in the waiting room, mumbling complete nonsense to himself.
"Breathe in, breathe out... diapers... college funds... oh god, what if I drop her? I can't hold small things... I dropped my coffee yesterday..."
Michael and Emma ran up to him. "Evans! How is Mandy?!"
Evans stopped pacing and looked at them with wild, crazy eyes.
He fumbled his words, his hands shaking. "She... water... doctors took her... operating room... pushing... a lot of screaming..."
The chaotic mood suddenly faded into a tense, quiet wait.
Janet and Terry finally caught up, panting as they ran down the hall.
Terry put a comforting hand on Evans's shoulder, but Evans was still trembling from head to toe.
He looked absolutely terrified.
Just then, the heavy double doors of the ward pushed open.
A kind-looking nurse walked out. "Mr. Evans?"
Evans turned around, looking horrified, like he was expecting terrible news.
The nurse smiled gently. In her arms, wrapped in a soft pink blanket, was a tiny little baby.
Evans stopped breathing.
He walked slowly toward the nurse, his legs shaking with every step.
He carefully, gently reached out and put his trembling arms around the little bundle.
The baby was fast asleep, her tiny face scrunched up peacefully.
Michael stepped forward quietly. "How is she? How is Mandy?"
The nurse smiled at Michael.
"The baby is miraculously healthy. Ten toes, ten fingers, and no complications at all. Mrs. Evans was amazing. She is completely healthy, but she is sleeping right now because of pure exhaustion."
A massive wave of relief washed over the entire group.
Janet wiped a tear from her eye, and Emma hugged Michael's arm tightly.
But Evans wasn't smiling.
He just stood there, staring down at the little baby in his arms with a deep, serious frown.
The room went completely silent.
Everyone held their breath.
"Why is he frowning?" Michael thought, a little afraid. "Does he hate her? Is he too scared?"
Evans kept staring. His lips trembled.
Then, tears started falling freely from his eyes, dripping down his cheeks.
He leaned his face down close to the baby's tiny head.
"You are the love of my life," Evans whispered, his voice cracking with pure, overwhelming emotion. "Everything I have... and everything I am... is yours forever."
Evans gently kissed her soft forehead, his tears wetting the blanket.
As if she heard his promise, the little baby squirmed, opened her tiny mouth, and let out her very first, loud cry.
