This is Jack's story.
It started like a normal day.
He woke up late, as usual, ignoring his alarm until his mother called from the kitchen.
"Jack! You're going to be late!"
He rushed out of bed, quickly getting ready for school. There wasn't enough time for breakfast, so he grabbed his bag and left.
Nothing felt unusual.
Nothing felt wrong.
It was just another ordinary morning.
The streets were the same as always.
People walked by.
Buses passed.
Students laughed on their way to school.
Jack walked quietly, his bag slung over one shoulder.
He was thinking about small things:
A math test he wasn't prepared for.
A joke his friend told the day before.
And how long the school day would feel.
Just normal thoughts.
When he got to school, the noise hit him immediately.
Voices filled the air.
Laughter.
Chairs moving.
Teachers calling out instructions.
His friends waved at him from the classroom.
"Hey, Jack! You're late again!"
He gave a small smile and walked in, dropping his bag onto his desk.
Everything felt normal.
Until it didn't.
It started with a slight dizziness.
At first, Jack ignored it. He thought maybe it was because he skipped breakfast.
But then his vision blurred.
The classroom sounds faded…
Like everything was moving away from him.
"Jack? Are you okay?" someone asked.
He tried to respond.
But his body didn't listen.
The room spun.
Before he could understand what was happening, he collapsed.
When Jack opened his eyes, the ceiling looked strange.
White.
Bright.
Silent.
He blinked slowly.
The noise of the classroom was gone.
Instead, a quiet beeping sound filled the air.
A hospital.
He turned his head slightly.
His mother sat beside him.
Her eyes were red.
She tried to smile when she saw he was awake.
"You fainted," she said softly.
Jack didn't say anything.
He just stared at the ceiling again.
It didn't feel serious.
It didn't feel like anything had changed.
Just a small incident.
That's what he thought.
But that day…
Was not normal.
And Jack didn't know it yet.
It was the beginning of everything changing.
