Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

"Alright. Follow me. Let's see the sect leader now." Said Elder Wei, grabbing Song Yi's arm firmly.

He told him to follow, but Song Yi barely managed to take a step. Elder Wei pulled him, and suddenly, the two were moving at high speed through a dark tunnel. The walls passed like blurs. The wind hit Song Yi's face hard, and he could barely breathe.

When they exited the tunnel, they were inside a cave in the mountain. Song Yi finally saw where he was.

Ahead and around them were several tall mountains forming a natural circle. On all the slopes, constructions rose from the ground to the peak. Large pavilions, towers, halls, and residences connected by bridges and stone stairs. The Three Poisons Sect was enormous, much larger than he had imagined. It looked like an entire city built on the mountains.

Song Yi had no time to admire the view. Elder Wei continued moving at high speed, carrying him straight to the top of the tallest mountain. The wind howled in his ears. The constructions passed quickly below them. Song Yi wondered what fate awaited him up there.

After several minutes crossing the sect, they arrived at a large hall at the peak. Elder Wei pushed the heavy doors and entered, still holding Song Yi.

The hall was circular and wide. There were no guards at the entrance. At the center, an elevated throne dominated the space. Around it, several empty seats formed a semicircle. Sitting on the main throne was an imposing man. Long purple hair fell over his shoulders. His eyes were sharp like blades. He wore black robes embroidered with subtle serpent patterns.

The man looked at Elder Wei with a frown. His gaze quickly passed over Song Yi and ignored him, as if he were just an insignificant mortal.

"What happened for you to show your face here, old Wei?" asked the sect leader, expressionless.

Elder Wei did not answer immediately. He looked at Song Yi for a moment and then at the man on the throne.

"Sect leader, this young man possesses a special physique linked to the path of poison."

"What?" Asked the leader, somewhat incredulous.

Elder Wei wasted no time. He approached Song Yi, who took several steps back, wary. What did the old man intend to do now?

Suddenly, Elder Wei threw a quick punch toward Song Yi's chest. The strike was not meant to kill but to test.

Song Yi raised his arms instinctively to defend himself. At the same moment, a purple mist was released from his arms and shot toward Elder Wei.

The old man looked toward the throne with a strange smile.

When Song Yi looked at the throne, the leader was no longer there. In the blink of an eye, the purple-haired man appeared right in front of him. Song Yi tried to move back, but the leader grabbed his arm firmly.

Just that touch was enough. Song Yi felt as if an abyssal weight had been placed on his back. His knees trembled. He could not move even a centimeter. A terrible fear took over his entire body. If Elder Wei was already strong, this man in front of him was like a monster.

The sect leader held Song Yi's arm for a few seconds, sensing the energy circulating through the boy's body. A slow smile appeared on his face.

"You were right, old Wei. It really is a special physique. It is the Ten Poisons Spiritual Physique!"

Song Yi felt his heart tighten. The words echoed through the empty hall. He did not fully understand what that meant. The poison that had almost killed him for an entire month now suddenly was part of him. The purple mist, the new strength, everything had a name.

The sect leader released his arm. The abyssal weight disappeared, but Song Yi still trembled slightly. The purple-haired man looked at him with real interest for the first time.

"A rare spiritual physique. Few appear in generations. And it manifested right here, in our sect."

Elder Wei laughed quietly, satisfied.

"I spent an entire month testing poisons on him. He absorbed everything. He did not die. He grew stronger every day. When the purple mist came out today, I knew I was right."

The sect leader nodded slowly. His sharp eyes analyzed Song Yi from top to bottom.

"What is your name, boy?"

Song Yi swallowed hard before answering, his voice still hoarse.

"Song Yi."

"Song Yi..." Repeated the leader.

"From today onward, you are no longer a test subject. You are a disciple of the Three Poisons Sect. A disciple with potential for the path of poison. Train well. Use this physique."

Song Yi lowered his head. Inside, the hatred for Elder Wei still burned strongly. But he knew he could not show it now. He was in front of people far more powerful. He needed to be patient.

The sect leader made a gesture with his hand. A disciple in dark green robes appeared suddenly, as if she had been waiting for the call.

"Take him to the quarters of the inner disciples. Give him proper clothes, an identification, and explain the basic rules of the sect. He begins cultivation tomorrow."

The disciple nodded and gestured for Song Yi to follow her.

Song Yi walked behind the disciple through the mountain corridors. His body still tingled with the new strength. The purple mist had stopped, but he felt that he could summon it again if he wanted.

For the first time in a month, he was not being dragged or poisoned by force. But he knew his life in the sect would not be easy.

As he went down the stone stairs, a single promise echoed in his mind.

'I will become stronger. And one day, I will make everyone pay for what they did to me.'

As Song Yi left the hall, Elder Wei was still smiling. The sect leader observed everything with a calm but calculating expression.

"Old Wei. I noticed the hatred that the boy has for you. Take this." The leader of the Three Poisons Sect handed a red scroll to Elder Wei.

"This?" Old Wei asked, in doubt.

"It is a blood slavery scroll. I obtained it from the Crimson Blood Sect. Use it on Song Yi. Then we will not have to worry about him betraying us in the future." He said with a serious expression.

He knew that Song Yi would not obey willingly, therefore, this was necessary.
