Chapter 1 - The day I left forks

Forks was the same as alway gray, and gloomy, Tyler looks at sky and think about how today could've been worse the thought of him almost killing his friend played over n over in his mind like a broken dvd that stop no matter what you do everything Tyler Crowley wished he could forget he couldn't because it just kept playing over and over Today had been a disaster that he will never forget Tyler gripped the edge of his car seat knuckles still faintly trembling. He could still hear it the screech of tires, the sickening slide of his van across black ice, Bella Swan's terrified face frozen in his mind like a photograph he couldn't tear apart. He had almost killed her. The thought made his stomach twist again. "Tyler." His mother's voice snapped him out of it. She as she pull up in drive way and turn the car off she continued talk listens Tyler I'm not angry anymore im just tired. Son "You can't drive like that, especially not here," she said, softer now but still firm. I doesn't care how good you think you are behind the wheel you can't dive like that Ice you can't beat nature son Tyler ran a hand through his hair. "I know. I messed up, okay? I know." There was a pause The tension in the room shifted but not gone, but changing into something else Something different His mom sighed open car and said son let's get in house I got some else to talk to you about as they sitting on the of couch Tyler frowned. "What now?" "I got a promotion." He blinked. "Wait what? That's… good, right?" "It is," she said, managing a small smile. "It's really good. But there's a catch." Of course there was. "The boss wants me in the office. Starting tomorrow." The words didn't hit all at once. They crept in slowly, like the cold through a cracked window. "…Tomorrow?" Tyler repeated. She nodded. "And the office is in? "Seattle." Silence filled the room. Not the comfortable kind. The kind that made your ears ring. "We're leaving Forks, Tyler." Those words hit Tyler Hard like a truck Tyler let out a short laugh, but there was no humor in it. "You're kidding." "I'm not." "Just like that? After everything—after today?" His voice cracked slightly. "After… all of it?" "I didn't plan the timing," she said gently. "But this is important. For both of us." I Tyler looked out the window. The rain had started again, tapping softly against the glass like it always did. Forks had always felt small, suffocating even but now that he was leaving, it felt unfinished.
