Seeing Simon Keats at the door again, Summer Thorne felt a headache coming on.
But Simon still had that same well-behaved look, his eyes crinkling as he smiled at her. "Summer, I'm here to see Louis Sutton. Isn't he going back to school in a couple of days? Final exams are coming up soon, and he's been behind on his coursework for so long. I was worried he wouldn't be able to catch up, so I brought him some notes. I hope they'll be useful."
The reason was flawless; Summer couldn't just turn him away.
But Summer didn't want to get too involved in whatever was going on between the two of them. She just pointed Simon toward Louis Sutton's room. "Go find him yourself."
"Okay!" Simon replied cheerfully.
Summer turned and went back to her own room.
She had no idea if Simon had actually seen Louis Sutton, or how their chat had gone. In any case, when she opened her door again, the apartment was quiet, as if Simon had never been there at all.
'I can't believe he left so easily today.'
