Summer Thorne didn't answer his question.
But it seemed Timothy York didn't need a verbal answer from her either.
He would explore for the answer himself.
Everything that happened in the room was quiet and restrained.
He traced her body, bit by bit, calm and serious.
It was as if this whole affair was simply to check on her physical condition.
Summer Thorne was equally calm, letting his warm palm glide over her cool skin. And beneath his hands, she gradually felt her own body temperature returning.
By the time her body had finally warmed completely, Timothy York's hand remained in a certain spot, unmoving.
Whether from hesitation or reluctance, it stayed there for a long, long time.
After a long silence between them, it was Summer Thorne who finally broke it.
"Have you had dinner?"
"No."
"But today is New Year's Eve," Summer Thorne said. "How could you not even eat the reunion dinner?"
"That meal isn't important to me," Timothy York replied.
