Silas Dunn was stunned by Timothy York's answer. He pressed on, "Is that so? When? Where? Under what circumstances did she save your life?"
Timothy York met his gaze, his expression placid and unruffed, but he remained silent.
Silas Dunn could tell he had no intention of answering and just scoffed. "You're getting better at pulling things out of thin air. It just rolls right off your tongue!"
Silas Dunn sank back onto the sofa, resting his forehead on his hand as he watched Timothy York. "Just admit it. If you ask me, you're utterly bewitched."
Timothy York's slender fingers traced a path through the condensation on his chilled glass. He neither confirmed nor denied it.
Silas Dunn took a sip of his drink. "Well, since you're so sure Summer Thorne isn't holding anything against you, we'll just leave it at that. After all, given how important she is to you, if she really did get the wrong idea... I'm afraid none of us would have an easy time of it."
