When Summer Thorne returned to Lundenburg, she looked a little worse for wear.
Eve was startled when she saw her.
After all, she had been perfectly fine when she left. But after just two days away, she returned with a cut on her forehead, a limp, and stringy hair. She looked for all the world like she'd been wandering the streets for half a month.
Summer Thorne locked herself in her room. It took her a full two hours to clean herself up before she finally opened the door and came downstairs.
Eve had been worrying downstairs for a long time, too distracted to focus on her chores. Seeing Summer finally come down, she hurried over and asked, "What on earth happened? Is it because he went over... Did you two have a fight?"
Hearing this, Summer Thorne didn't answer right away.
