After breakfast, Timothy York cleared the dishes and went into the kitchen. Summer Thorne sat in the living room, tidying up the things he hadn't finished putting away.
When she had finished sorting and arranging everything, she turned to see Timothy York walking out of the kitchen.
With nothing to do for entertainment, it was rather awkward for the two of them to be alone in the room, just staring at each other.
Just as Summer Thorne was wondering what to say to break the silence, Timothy York walked over and took her hand. "We just finished eating. Want to go for a walk?"
Summer Thorne's lips twitched into a smile. "Okay."
The two of them left the house together, strolling in the opposite direction from the path Summer Thorne had taken that morning.
They walked in silence, but it was still much better than being confined within the four walls of that little house.
At least out here, her gaze could wander in countless directions, not confined to what was right before her.
