"I'm fine," Summer Thorne said with a smile. "My phone was just having some issues. I only realized it today, so I got a new one. How have you been feeling these past few days?"
Brandon Crawford's voice did sound like he was in good shape. "I'm doing great, don't worry about me. What about you? How are things going with what you needed to take care of?"
"I'll probably be busy for a while longer," Summer Thorne said. "Once I get through this, I'll fly over to see you as soon as I have some free time."
Brandon Crawford laughed in agreement, then paused before suddenly asking, "In a good mood today?"
"What makes you say that?"
"It's just a feeling," Brandon Crawford said. "Your voice sounds different from how it used to."
"Oh, really?" Summer Thorne chuckled softly. "Well, that's a good thing, isn't it?"
"Yeah." A faint sigh was woven into Brandon Crawford's voice. "As long as you're happy, that's all that matters. There are plenty of happy days ahead."
