After all the extra commotion, Timothy York's schedule was inevitably disrupted, and he was forced to leave later than planned.
When he emerged from the walk-in closet, dressed, he found that Summer Thorne was no longer in the bedroom.
He went out to look and discovered that Ivan Gray had actually come upstairs and was talking with Summer Thorne in the living room.
Ever since Timothy York had become more silent and withdrawn, Ivan, while still coming up occasionally, mostly just ran errands. It had been a long time since he had picked Timothy up for work.
Back then, Timothy York would rather use the driver his grandfather, Mr. York, had arranged than have Ivan come up to get him.
This time, however, was different. Because Timothy had brought Summer Thorne back with him, Ivan saw a glimmer of hope and cautiously suggested that, just in case, he should be the one to drive Timothy to and from Stillwater from now on.
To this, Timothy York had finally not refused.
