The doctor chose to start with the good news, seeing the grim look on Ryan Sterling's face. "During the first trimester, the mother's body can often detect issues with the embryo's development. If it were truly affected, then... it wouldn't have survived."
She hesitated for a moment before daring to say the rest.
Although Ryan Sterling cared deeply about this child, he was even more concerned about Evelyn Grant's well-being.
"What about her? How is she?"
"Mrs. Sterling is out of danger now. When she wakes up, just monitor her emotional state. Try not to upset her again for the next few days!"
Ryan Sterling finally breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good."
