Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: Qian Yuan One-Qi Furnace

The weapons used by Martial Artists were mostly Profound Soldiers.

Profound Soldiers were divided into nine grades based on their materials, inscribed runes, and other factors.

Powerful Profound Soldiers were incredibly rare, and the appearance of one would spark a fierce struggle among the major powers. In Anxing City, the weapons used by the three great families were merely Third-Grade Profound Soldiers, valued at around two hundred thousand Silver Coins.

The best Profound Soldiers in this Xuanqing Pavilion were of a similar caliber.

"Do you have any sword-type Profound Soldiers?" Qin Yuxiang asked.

Although she hadn't saved much despite her many years in the Qin Family, she still had more than enough to buy a Low-Level Profound Soldier.

"Yes, please follow me, you two."

The Shopkeeper led Qin Ya and Qin Yuxiang down a corridor to a large set of doors. Two Guards stood before it; they bowed and respectfully opened the way.

After stepping inside, the two of them clearly felt the surrounding air turn solemn and chilling.

Lifting their gazes, they saw rows of wooden racks displaying all sorts of weapons—some gleamed with a cold, sharp light, some looked simple and ancient, and others had strange and bizarre shapes.

These weapons lay there quietly, each exuding a different sharp aura, as if awaiting the arrival of their destined masters.

"You two, the sword-type Profound Soldiers are over here."

He casually picked up a green Sword Artifact, flicked it with a finger, and a clear, lingering hum rang out from the blade.

Qin Ya glanced at the description. It read: "Second-Grade Profound Soldier, Clear Wind Sword. Forged from Bronze Essence and Profound Iron, inscribed with two Wind Runes and one Power Rune. Price: forty thousand Silver Coins."

"Ahem, Xiaoya."

Qin Yuxiang coughed twice, an embarrassed look on her face as she said to Qin Ya, "Um, Xiaoya, I only have thirty-five thousand Silver Coins. Let's look at something else."

"It's fine, Auntie. Just pick whatever you like. I have money."

"Where did you get money from?" Qin Yuxiang was puzzled.

Qin Ya chuckled and said, "Found it."

"You and your smart mouth."

Since Qin Ya said he had money, Qin Yuxiang didn't press the matter. She continued to browse the weapon racks, searching for a Sword Artifact that suited her.

Qin Ya also wandered through the vast armory, occasionally offering critiques. Although he wasn't a Caster in his past life, he still possessed a wealth of knowledge.

Besides, the weapons here weren't particularly high-grade, so his level of expertise was more than sufficient. The Shopkeeper standing nearby overheard him, and upon reflection, realized his comments were more or less spot on. His respect for Qin Ya grew, and he began to act a little sycophantic.

"Hm...?"

As Qin Ya walked, he came to a strange section.

All the other weapons in the armory were clearly categorized—swords with swords, sabers with sabers, spears with spears—but this area was different.

"Shopkeeper, what's the deal with these?"

"Young Master, this area is for weapons that couldn't be categorized. They're all ancient items, and it would be a shame to throw them away. So we put them here to see if someone with a discerning eye might find something of value."

"Oh, sounds like a treasure hunt. Interesting."

Qin Ya smiled, his interest piqued. He walked over for a closer look.

After looking for a while, however, his enthusiasm waned. These items were indeed ancient, but none of them were useful. They were even worse than a First-Grade Profound Soldier.

Just as he was about to leave, something in the corner of his eye caught his attention.

It was a Three-Legged Bronze Tripod Furnace, three inches tall and two inches wide. It had a simple, ancient design, and a vividly carved lotus flower adorned its lid.

"This is..."

Qin Ya's heart pounded. He walked over, picked it up, and his pupils contracted. He recognized it instantly—he was far too familiar with it. It was definitely the one.

A Spiritual Artifact, the Primordial Heaven Qi Furnace!

The Alchemy furnace of the Pill Venerable from his past life!

Spiritual Artifacts were exceedingly rare in the history of the Azure Sky Realm, and the Primordial Heaven Qi Furnace in his hand was one of them. What was a Spiritual Artifact? It was a weapon that contained a Spirit God, having developed its own consciousness and personality.

Right now, the Spirit Body within the Primordial Heaven Furnace in Qin Ya's hands had nearly collapsed. Only a trace of its Spiritual Sense remained, having been dormant for nearly ten thousand years.

In Qin Ya's memory, this Spiritual Artifact had been destroyed alongside him by the Creation Dao Pill Thunder Tribulation. Having been reborn ten thousand years later, he had assumed the Spiritual Artifact had turned to dust as well. He never expected that it hadn't dissipated but had instead survived to this day.

"Heh, the Purple Lotus Celestial Flame and the Primordial Heaven Qi Furnace... the two ultimate Alchemy tools of the Pill Venerable from my past life are now reunited. Reunited." Qin Ya chuckled, his mood soaring.

"Shopkeeper, this tripod furnace looks quite impressive. How much is it?" Qin Ya asked, cradling the Primordial Heaven Qi Furnace, his face growing more delighted the longer he looked at it.

"Everything in this section is sold at the price of a First-Grade Profound Soldier: three thousand Silver Coins." The Shopkeeper glanced at Qin Ya, rather puzzled. 'Could this furnace actually be some kind of treasure?' However, rules were rules, so he didn't raise the price.

"Oh? I'll take it."

Soon, Qin Yuxiang had also chosen her weapon: a Second-Grade Profound Soldier, the Star Trace Sword, priced at forty thousand Silver Coins, same as the Clear Wind Sword.

"Auntie, why don't you pick a better one? Your nephew has plenty of money."

"Heh, no need. I think this Star Trace Sword is just fine." Qin Yuxiang shook her head, then looked at the furnace in Qin Ya's hands with curiosity. "Xiaoya, what's that thing you're holding? It looks pretty old."

"This? I'll tell you later," Qin Ya said with a mysterious smile.

"By the way, Xiaoya, aren't you going to pick a weapon for yourself?"

Qin Ya stroked his chin in thought. The memory of how Li Peiyi had injured his hand on Mang Mountain flashed through his mind, and an idea sparked. He glanced around the room.

"Hm, this spear isn't bad."

He walked over to the spear rack, picked up a jet-black spear, and tested its weight.

"Hmm, 230 jin. Hundred Battles... what a domineering name. This is the one."

The Hundred Battles Spear, a Second-Grade Profound Soldier, cost sixty thousand Silver Coins.

"Young Master, that will be one hundred and three thousand Silver Coins in total." The Shopkeeper wore a fawning smile. A sale of over one hundred thousand Silver Coins was rare, so it was no wonder he was so pleased.

To him, Qin Ya was a god of wealth.

Qin Yuxiang felt uneasy. She only had a little over thirty thousand Silver Coins on her. Even though Qin Ya said he had money, she was still skeptical. She had never seen such a huge sum—over a hundred thousand—in all her years with the Qin Family.

"Alright."

Qin Ya reached into his robe and pulled a thick stack of silver notes from his Storage Ring. After selling the Wind and Rain Sword Technique, he was carrying a massive fortune of several hundred thousand.

"One, two..."

As Qin Ya counted out eleven ten-thousand-denomination silver notes and handed them to the Shopkeeper, Qin Yuxiang, who was standing to the side, was already dumbstruck. It all felt surreal.

The sight of that thick stack of silver notes made her dizzy.

"Xiaoya, when... how did you get so rich?" Qin Yuxiang murmured, dazed.

"Found it."

The Shopkeeper accepted the silver notes, his face a mixture of delight and shock. 'Even the young masters of Anxing City's three great families aren't this wealthy, are they? Where did this guy come from?'

"Here you are, Young Master. Your change is seven thousand Silver Coins."

After leaving Xuanqing Pavilion, Qin Ya headed to Huaa Que's place to buy medicinal herbs.

"Old man, business is here!" Qin Ya shouted as soon as he entered.

Huaa Que, who was sunbathing in the courtyard, heard him and couldn't help but roll his eyes. 'This brat really has no respect for his elders.'

Just as he was about to go out, a graceful figure beat him to it, already rushing out the door.

"A daughter won't stay with her father for long," Huaa Que remarked with a sigh.
