Realizing that Liang He had an increasing number of people and factions standing behind her, Nick attempted to establish contact with the Star Thieves to complete the mission assigned by his leader.
Valken, who had previously been eliminated by Liang He on Greenfield Star, had once formed a partnership with Elias. In Nick's view, his own status was far higher than Valken's, so Elias should have been more than happy to communicate with him. Instead, he was given the cold shoulder.
"Did you find any results on Elias's whereabouts like I asked?"
Although the Star Thieves uniformly claimed that Elias was at their base camp and had not gone out, Nick discovered that ever since Elias and Valken failed in their sneak attack on Sky Shining Star, Elias had only shown his face on the Starship heading to Greenfield Star. Aside from that, there had been no trace of him.
He reasonably suspected that Elias might have been lurking beside Liang He all this time, biding his time.
