Megan Kane gave a casual wave goodbye. After all, the matter was finally resolved.
Jason Forrester didn't say anything more either. He knew the best thing to do was to remain calm.
Saying anything more would only complicate matters, so it was smarter to stay quiet.
"Now that your best friend is on her way, shouldn't we head home and get some rest?"
"If we don't go home soon, I'm going to collapse from exhaustion."
Jason Forrester felt the most important thing right now was to go home and rest. Everything else could be dealt with later.
"Alright, alright, don't press the issue. I know we need to go home and rest. You don't have to remind me."
Megan Kane rolled her eyes dramatically. She felt like this man's sole purpose was to subtly poke fun at her.
'Too bad I can't return him,' she thought. 'If only a refund were possible.'
'After all, if I could actually return him, I probably would.'
'He does have a few minor flaws, after all.'
