Ruan Fu's displeasure instantly vanished after receiving An Bei's affirmative answer. She tilted her head up, a sly gleam flickering in her eyes, and nodded vigorously. "You promised me. No going back on your word!"
An Bei felt a bit helpless. He let out a soft chuckle and grasped her outstretched finger, his tone tinged with pampering affection. "Why would I lie to you about this? I said I would give it to you, so I will."
Saying so, he gave a slight tug, pulling Ruan Fu back into his arms and holding her tightly.
His chin rested gently in the crook of her neck, greedily absorbing the warmth of her body. His hot breath brushed against her nape, bringing a tingling itch. Ruan Fu unconsciously wriggled, only to feel An Bei stiffen behind her.
Even his voice grew a few pitches hoarser. "Stop moving around, or else..."
Before An Bei could finish, a light cough came from outside, followed immediately by the crisp voice of a female.
