A sinister smile touched Tristan Sterling's lips.
"Uh…" Nicole Linton's expression changed. She was at a loss for words.
Flustered, she glanced at her sister.
Vivian Linton was just as flustered.
'He's angry!'
Previously, when Nicole called him brother-in-law, he'd never acknowledged it, but he'd also never publicly shamed them like this.
"Are you trying to confirm the accusations against your sister?"
Tristan Sterling's dark eyes narrowed, a chill slowly gathering around him.
"S-Second Master," Nicole Linton stammered, quickly correcting herself.
The man before her was not someone she could afford to offend.
'If I annoy him and cause my sister to lose his favor, it won't be worth it.'
"Get some rest." Tristan Sterling stood up.
"Tristan!"
Vivian Linton quickly grabbed his hand, clutching it tightly, and choked back a sob. "Are you angry with me?"
"No, don't overthink things."
Tristan Sterling's tone had clearly softened as he patted her shoulder.
