After replying to Holly Sinclair, Tristan Sterling irritably tossed his phone aside.
His handsome face was as black as thunder.
Sensing the heavy atmosphere in the car, Connor Grant, sitting in the passenger seat, glanced at his boss in the rearview mirror.
As his special assistant, he knew his boss's schedule like the back of his hand.
He was well aware that today was the day his boss and the missus were supposed to get their divorce certificate.
The fork in the road was just ahead. Connor Grant swallowed nervously and, steeling himself, asked, "Sir, are we heading to the office now?"
The office and the Civil Affairs Bureau were in two completely different directions.
